Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, commonly known as Notre-Dame, is one of the most emblematic monuments in Paris and France. It is located on the Ile de la Cité and is a Catholic place of worship, the seat of the Archdiocese of Paris, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

Discover Paris by boat: During this 2 hour cruise in Paris you'll discover the iconic monuments and bridges and last but not least, the Eiffel Tower.
Duration: 2 hours: Boarding starts at 5.45pm. Boat leaves the pier at 6.15pm and comes back to shore at 8.15pm.
3 course special meal: Foie gras, lamb fondant confit and a special dessert to share and also beverages.
Le Diamant Bleu, a modern boat: Board on this elegant, yacht looking boat which detains a panoramic ballroom and a wonderful rooftop!

1.00In April 2025 we booked to travel on the Viking Paris & the Heart of Normandy cruise commencing 29th March 2026. We had booked this trip because, 1. it took place over my wife's 83rd birthday on April 4th and secondly because many years ago visited Monet's Garden with friends who, sadly are no longer with us. We had booked the trip from the brochure entitled "Paris etc" which included a picture of the garden. About 6 weeks before the cruise we went on the Viking site to book our excursions and found to our great disappointment that the Monet's Garden trip had been substituted. When we emailed Viking they stood by their disclaimer in small print at the bottom, of the brochure. However on further investigation we found that the garden never opened before April in any year and therefore the alternative excursion was not and could not be considered a substitution. I pointed out to Viking that 9 words extra in the brochure would have made clear that the March sailing did not include Monet's Garden in which case we would never have booked the trip. I felt that it was a misrepresentation on the part of Viking but they were adamant and we therefore lost nearly £700. I make this post as a warning to others to check that any particular trip on a cruise that is important to them,requires careful checking to see if in fact it will take place or, as in our case, cannot and could never, take place. We have been with Viking many times and enjoyed the experience but were very disappointed with their approach to our comments.

3.00It went by really quickly food was lovely but there’s no real DJ singer wasn’t bad but her Choice of songs wasn’t good table was very small even with upgraded to vip but boat was nice and waiter and toilet attendant was rude to my partner which isn’t good. And brand of champagne could be better.

5.00We enjoyed our time at the cruise. Everything was organized and planned on time (though it took longer to return I think). Dinner was decent and served on time with all appetizer, main course and the dessert. Singer and DJ were both good and made it fun inside the cruise. There were tiny things that could be improved (such as my fork and glass cleanliness and expensive drinks) but nothing major to reduce a star from them. Overall, it was a memorable night especially making sure everyone see the sparkling Eiffel tower at night on the hour.

3.00The duration of the activity announced does not match the reality. We arrived at the appointed time. And sitting at our table we waited a long time without starting and without any attention or drinks. When the boat turned around, the waiters started running and picking up the tables. When we were still supposed to be at the time of the activity. We had to ask several times when the music started to dance and where the track would be.

5.00A wonderful cruise with excellent food, music and scenery. The staff was excellent and multi lingual. The upper deck was comfortable and the views of the city were wonderful! The only downside was the journey to get to the boat.

5.00Overall a great and enjoyable experience! Seats by the window were very nice, food : delicious , beautiful presentation lots of choices, and lots of it for sure:-) The only problem was with the meeting point, which was not clear at all, we had to contact the operator, since there was a bit of a confusion. So make sure you have the right instructions to begin with .
