What To Expect

Departure from Santa Marta at 7:00 a.m. to La Unión village where we will start a 2-hour walk and have the opportunity to learn about the typical fauna and flora of this territory, the history and different processes that the peasant communities have experienced in this area. territory. Then we will arrive at the plantations of this exotic fruit where we will learn about the cultivation process, as well as the nutrients and derivatives that we can obtain from this magnificent fruit. In this place we will have the opportunity to have a typical lunch of the region accompanied by the different products, foods, that can be made with this fruit. Then we will start a short walk to the Saltillo waterfall where we will have the opportunity to take a bath in beautiful crystal clear waters and unique landscapes of this place. Then we will start the walk back to the Guachaca River where we will start the tubing activity for 1 hour until we reach the starting point. Return to Santa Marta 4:20 p.m.

Meeting the Kogi tribe with our guide Carlos was quite an experience. We got to see how they live, exchange with them and learn a lot about their way of life. Our guide Carlos was perfect, he answered all our questions about the tribe, life in Columbia and much more. 100% would do it again !

The guides and village were excellent! We had so much fun on the journey, went tubing on a clean pristine river and horseback riding too. Breakfast and lunch were provided at home stays. The village was incredible to see and learn. Highlight of our trip thus far!
