If you are in Athens, you should not overlook this tour. Our tour guide, Kostas was great. He was knowledgeable and personable. A great experience overall!

Our goal was to see some of the historical locations and museums outside of Athens. This trip was a big time commitment for what we got to see and do because of the challenge of trying to get in and out of a major city that has horrible traffic. If you are very interested in the life of Paul this trip does take you to some spots that were inspiring such as the original port of Corinth where there are the remains of a structure that is thought to be where he baptized people. As history buffs, we would have liked more time at the museum in Corinth and temple grounds as one hour was not enough and at the castle of Aphrodite. Note climbing up the castle road is very difficult for anyone with any mobility challenges Time allotment for this stop includes eating lunch at a restaurant at the base of the castle. To do both in an hour and a half means you can only hike about a third of the way up which is disappointing considering the view from there is amazing. We would recommend skipping the stop at the canal as it’s enough to see it when you drive over it and that time could be used at the museum or castle. Our driver was very safe and friendly but note that he is not a historian so the information he could share is somewhat limited. If you really want to understand the role Corinth had as a major city in the history of Greece consider hiring a licensed guide to meet you at the museum. If we were choosing activities again with limited time in Athens I would recommend the following; 1. Private tour of the Acropolis and Parthenon, 2. Small group wooden boat sailing trip to local islands (great chill out day) 3. Tour the Agora in Athens and Haydren’s library. Then, if you have a full day to spare, consider leaving the city for a trip to Poseidon’s temple, the monasteries or Corinth.
