What To Expect
San Luis Potosi
After recognizing the viceregal origins of the founding of the city, we will enter the patio of the Central Building of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí to learn about the dynamics of the religious orders in the life of Potosí society in those times of New Spain , and how the venue has evolved over time; always with an educational vocation.
Antigua Caja Real
This building was used to collect the contributions of the famous "Quinto Real", in addition to protecting the Gold and Silver productions of the Potosí miners. This facility is currently a cultural center administered by the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí.

5.00We had a wonderful walking tour with Miguel in San Luis Potosí. It was the ideal way to get to know the city and follow the story of Mexican history from the viceroyalty to today. The route blended historical context, beautiful architecture, and everyday stories from local Potosinos, giving us a richer sense of this amazing place. We also visited sites of the city and heard stories we never would have discovered on our own. What really made the tour stand out was Miguel himself. He’s knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of San Luis Potosí. He created a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, encouraged our questions, and added thoughtful details that brought the city to life. He even walked us to a local restaurant afterward and suggested dishes to try, which was such a kind touch. Miguel made the entire experience memorable, and this was truly the best walking tour we’ve ever done.

Miguel was not only knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but he truly brought the city’s rich history and vibrant architecture to life. His friendly demeanor and genuine passion made the tour feel personalized and engaging. He pointed out hidden gems we never would have found on our own—stunning architecture, tucked-away courtyards, and stories of the city that only a local could share. His storytelling was vivid and fun, balancing historical facts with lively anecdotes. The pace of the walk was perfect for us, allowing plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere, take photos, and ask questions. Miguel also gave great recommendations for local restaurants after the tour—small touches like that made the whole experience even more memorable. If you’re planning to explore San Luis Potosí, this tour with Miguel is absolutely worth it. We were in town for a wedding and this was one of our top activities! Highly recommended!
