Why not combine our two most popular tours into one? See the sights of the historic port city of Halifax and then take in the famous breathtaking sights of Peggy's Cove.
Our tour would commence from Pier 21 with its Historic block as the "Ellis Island" of Canada, where more than one million immigrants came through and more than 500,000 left from during WWII.
From there we will visit St. Paul's Church, the oldest Anglican church in Canada. As well, St. Paul's Church was among some of the buildings that withstood the Great Halifax Explosion of 1917. We will drive on to Fort Needham Hill where a memorial carillon was built for the victims of that explosion. Then we'll be on to Canada's most famous lighthouse.
Peggy's Cove is one of the most unique, captivating and exhilarating eye-openers in Nova Scotia. The quaint seaside hamlets of Shad Bay, Big Lake, East Dover and West Dover, to mention but a few, are also breathtaking.

Sea food chowder was good, but lobster roll did not live up to expectations. Cafe was not as good as some.

First time in Nova Scotia. We were so fortunate to have a private tour with Jonathan! Because there were just two of us on the tour besides Jonathan, he was flexible and kindly took us to the beautiful Halifax botanical gardens and to the cemetery where some of the Titanic victims were buried. Jonathan had extensive knowledge about both. Then we continued to Peggy's Cove, and during the drive, Jonathan shared lots of historical information about Nova Scotia, Halifax, and Peggy's Cove. The drive was lovely, and Jonathan pointed out interesting sights and shared anecdotes along the way. Once we arrived at Peggy's Cove, he patiently waited for us to climb around and take photos. Afterward, we went to lunch at a great local waterfront restaurant (lobster rolls), where Jonathan again patiently waited for us. With just one day in the area, we were very happy to spend it with Jonathan and learn as much as possible about this beautiful area in Canada.

Jonathan is both a great driver and knowledgeable guide. A special note - He's made an effort to know about the history of his guests' home so he can converse wiyhbthen.

Johnathan was a great tour guide, we had a small group, he was great... I would recommend this tour. Just know you see the lighthouse, but you don't go inside the lighthouse

The tour and tour guide Jonathan (amiable and informative) were wonderful. We would highly recommend this tour, especially if Jonathan was leading it.
