Street Art Penang

Pinang Peranakan Mansion
The Pinang Peranakan Mansion is a stately mansion, refurbished to reflect bygone days of the Straits Chinese settlement in Penang. This magnificent townhouse is the former residence and office of Chinese Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee. He was a 19th century Hakka tin-miner and secret society leader of Hai San. The Pinang Peranakan Mansion is filled with more than 1,000 antiques and collectibles. The residence is unique and incorporates various Chinese architecture. The townhouse, built in the 1890s incorporates Chinese carved-wood panels, with English floor tiles and Scottish iron works.

We had a fantastic time with our guide Lawrence. The tour was a great blend of art, food, and sightseeing. Having a dedicated driver also helped getting around quickly.

It was just a driver and did not know much about tourist facts. Driver did not tell me/ tourist that there are a lot of side streets which also have street arts - so, I was a bit disappointed about that, as that was one of my highlights of visiting Penang 🥲 Apart from the above - driver took me all the places on the schedule and he was on time
