The driver, Jamie, was great. Saw elephant seals and penguins. This involves about 3 hours on not just unpaved roads but basically trails! Probably worth it.

Dress in layers. Be prepared for a bumpy ride! Worth it though! This experience was once in a lifetime for us. Our guide, Simon, was terrific. Very knowledgeable.

It was a pleasure to do that tour with Marcelo, it was very interesting to learn from him, the history of the island, its nature and the type of life in that British area. It was also an experience traveling in an English-style vehicle, it remains in our hearts, it will be unforgettable for us, thank you for everything!

Had a great day visiting penguins and elephant seals. We were a small group so we were able to get to our sites well ahead of larger tour bus groups - and benefitted with quality (almost solo) time with the wildlife. The only negative was the very high price for this tour.

Great close up time with Elephant Seals and Gentoo Penguins. Our guide Marcelo was very informative and helpful and really made the experience a memorable day out. Expensive but then all the trips available direct from the Cruise Ship were similarly priced….

Enjoyed our tour very much, we were mad at the dock, and introduced to our guide, and went off on a wonderful tour of Stanley, and out to see the many penguins.

I was charged $372 for one person (me) for this 5 hour tour. This was a small group of three with the driver/guide on an overland vehicle, a long ride. The guide, while a nice person, was not a professional guide but a local individual who was hired on a casual basis. We saw SMALL juvenile Gentu penguins and sea lions. The tour was adequate, but not for this outrageously high price. When I came back to the USA I called Viator and they said they would not issue a partial refund even though I explained that the Falklands Chamber of Commerce has set suggested prices for these tours with the prices posted outside the tourist office AND I spoke to a representative of the chamber who was concerned about the high price and left the office to speak to another tour operator, who confirmed what is a reasonable price for the same tour ($200-220). In response to my concern the Viator customer service reps/supervisor denied any request for a partial refund. I have called my credit card company to dispute at least part of the charge.. So, how can YOU see penguins, sea lions, birds, but for fair prices? Simple 1. do NOT think you must book a tour PRIOR to arriving at the pier (you don’t) 2. when you dock at this tiny port do the following: walk 50 feet to the Chamber of Commerce/Visitor info/tourist office, The chamber of commerce has posted outside the office OFFICIAL suggested prices for the various tours. Other tour companies line up to take visitors to similar sites and are charging $120 for the exact same experience (seeing penguins and sea lions). Even cheaper, there is a bus parked right next to the tourist office that charges $20 (that’s right) round trip to go to a nearby beach and you will see penguins, possibly sea lions, birds, etc. There are always people available who will gladly take you to see the penguins, et al of the Falklands at prices that are fair.

This stop was canceled because of bad weather. I notified you of this. I hope I am not charged for an excursion I did not take. My understanding is this port has been cancelled by many ships for over a month! Beware!
