The cost of the entrance fee to Petra depends upon many variables. The cost depends upon where the client comes from. For Jordanians it is JOD 1 per person for a day visit. For Arabs there are offers made for most of the year for JOD 10 per person for a day visit but it could be JOD 50 per person for a day visit. All other nationalities are JOD 50 person for a day visit. It also depends upon their age as if they are under 12 years of age it is free of charge.
