The cost of the entrance fee to Petra depends upon many variables. The cost depends upon where the client comes from. For Jordanians it is JOD 1 per person for a day visit. For Arabs there are offers made for most of the year for JOD 10 per person for a day visit but it could be JOD 50 per person for a day visit. All other nationalities are JOD 50 person for a day visit. It also depends upon their age as if they are under 12 years of age it is free of charge. It also depends upon how many days they wish to visit Petra. (1 day = JOD 50 per person, 2 days = JOD 55 per person, 3 days = JOD 60 per person).

What To Expect
Petra
Your Private Local Guide will meet you at an agreed starting point near the gates to Petra for your 2 hour Private Tour. Walk the 700 m along the Bab el Siq - passing the Obelisks Tomb until you reach the entrance to the Siq. This 1200m natural gorge is an impressive experience and beautiful way to enter the city. At the end of the Siq you will see the spectacular Treasury (El Khazneh). The tour continues down the Street of Facades to the roman style Nabatean Theatre and then you will have a fabulous view of the Royal Tombs and continue down the Roman Street and the end of your tour. You will then have free time to explore the city before leaving the site on your own. A great introduction to this majestic city. This is a 2 hour tour and can begin anytime. The tour price includes the fees of your Private Local Guide only.

5.00Sami is an amazing guide - extremely knowledgeable, friendly and adds humour to the tour. He was very considerate of the needs our our group and adapted to support what we required. He also gave us many tips for what to do and look at beyond his tour and pointed out the best hikes and where to start them. He was so easy to coordinate and communicate with, met us at the entrance and helped us buy tickets, and then gave us a fabulous and very informative tour of Petra. I’d been before on my own but really learned SO much from Sami. He was really knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. His tour was also reasonably priced. I really recommend tours with Sami!!!
