Their passion, knowledge, and dedication to both the animals and the participants made for an unforgettable day. I left the tour feeling enlightened about the organization's mission and inspired to support their vital efforts in wildlife conservation. If you're seeking an educational and heartwarming wildlife experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this tour
In reality, there are already over 20,000 Buddha statues - out of the planned 84,000! 2,000 gold-plated Buddhas alone line the 199 steps to the 10-meter statue that towers over the one below in the Puth Kiri Pagoda, while thousands of other Buddhas meditate.

We had a very nice day today with Leanni exploring the Cambodian countryside and going to the temple at Tonle Bati, the Phnom Tamoa Wildlife Rescue Centre to see some of the endangered wildlife of Cambodia and ending with the Buddha Kiri and climbing the 100 or steps to see over the 48,000 golden Buddha statues. There is a fair amount of driving, thankfully, in an air-conditioned van, with ample time at each stop. We chose not to stop for lunch so we were back by 3 PM but we did stop a few times for restroom breaks and opportunities to buy cold beers and snacks. The driver was very experienced in manoeuvring through the traffic and Leanni is very knowledgable I was able to answer all our questions. My suggestion if you go is that you wear shoes with socks as you have to take your shoes off to climb the steps and the concrete is very hot. Even with socks we had to keep moving.

This was a perfect one day tour, a great introduction to Cambodia! Our guide, Tokk, was fabulous. He had a wealth of knowledge of Khmer culture and history, animal conservation, architecture, Buddhism, and almost anything else we asked. Phnom Tamoa Wildlife Rescue Center was incredible. We fed Lao elephants, saw other endangered animals and learned about conservation efforts. It’s a beautiful facility and the animals are well cared for. The gibbons are hilarious with their calls back and forth, so enthusiastic that even the jackals answered! Lunch was at a real local roadside restaurant. There was grilled fish, grilled corn, grilled frog, and fresh coconut water. Then Putkiri Pagoda with 84,000 Buddhas was a visual feast. We climbed the 100 steps then fed koi and catfish. The finale were the ruins from the 12th century. Ta Prohm Tonie Bati Temple is protected by the monks who live there. You look at these sandstone carvings knowing they are 900 year old depictions of a royal family, Buddha, disciples, and Hindu images. It’s really a taste of what’s to come at Ankor Wat.

I had an absolutely wonderful time on this trip! The wildlife center was truly amazing—such a unique and memorable experience. The temples we visited were breathtaking, each one more beautiful and fascinating than the last. The history and architecture left a lasting impression. A special shout-out to my guide, Tokk. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. His passion and expertise made the trip even more special. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Fantastic day out and our guide was very informative on all subjects. Great views of the mountains and the animals at the wildlife centre were great to see, particularly the baby elephants.

We had an awesome day out with our driver and our guide. They couldn't do enough for us and were extremely knowledgeable on the different sites we visited. Plus we got to feed elephants which was an amazing experience. 84,000 gold Buddha's is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
