Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve
All hot air balloon tours check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.
Camelback Mountain
Enjoy stunning views of iconic Camelback Mountain in the heart of the Phoenix Valley. You pilot will share the history of this fascinating city and will point out local wildlife and plant life.

5.00We had an exhilarating experience flying serenely over the Sonoran Desert at sunrise to celebrate our 51st Anniversary! We arrived in the Desert in time to watch the Hot Air Expeditions Crew Chief Alex and his staff inflate the vibrant hot air balloon. Under the guidance of our experienced and knowledgeable Captain Alisa, we peacefully soared over the Desert for almost an hour. After a smooth landing, we enjoyed a champagne toast and breakfast with our new friends as Alisa presented us with certificates and recited the Balloonists Prayer! What a memorable experience! 5.00This was truly a bucket list experience and it did not disappoint. Floating over the desert at sunrise was incredibly serene and breathtakingly beautiful. Our pilot, Don, was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and we felt completely safe the entire time. The whole experience was smooth, peaceful, and well-organized from start to finish. I would highly recommend this hot air balloon ride to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure.

Very exciting and smooth ride to watch the sunrise. Don was an excellent guide and smooth landing. The pilot car and crew were waiting with a delicious breakfast with bubbly toast! Thanks!

5.00We did a sunset hot air balloon ride while in Scottsdale. Instructions for meeting at a nearby small airport or pick-up were clear. A 20 min van ride to the launch site. We got to see the balloon being set up/filled up. We were in the big balloon that held 20 people. The basket was divided into 4 sections of 5 people each - so everyone had a great "edge spot" to view. The ride was smooth and beautiful. Our guide Jonathon was funny and clearly knowledgeable - he has been in this arena since the age of 7 as his dad owned his own hot air balloon! The breakfast after was a super pleasant surprise - hardy and delicious plus mimosas/unlimited champagne. The price was a bit steep ($250.00 per person), but I feel safe and I will probably only do this once in my life - so I was OK paying it.
