You get to see a lot of things but in a short time, if you need to do something on the island & see a lot of places in one day then this perfect. Each stop is anything from 15-30 minutes so you are pressed for time. Plus point all the different places.

This is a good way to experience the island's south coast. Our guide was very accommodating and let us direct the speed of the tour.

This is a taxi service and nothing more. Don't waste your money. The car had no air con, the driver was late and made no effort to talk or explain anything. Very disappointed.

We booked a private tour of southern Mauritius for 2 people. We were expecting a driver/guide to show us around. What we got was a taxi driver who took us to the places on our itinerary, never left the car, spent most of his time on his mobile phone, not always hands free and had to have any information dragged out of him. When I expressed my disappointment he said that he was told that he wasn’t to be a guide only to drive as he didn’t do guiding only transfers. We paid £176 for this and felt that we wasted our money. Also the promise 7 to 8 hour trip only lasted 6 hours. If you want to see the best of this lovely island make sure that you have a guide who will enjoy showing you around

This was a long tour, but we saw a lot of different things. The Chamaral waterfall and the 7 Colored Earth spots were my favorites.

This was a great all day tour of the southern part of the island. Ben was our guide and he did an amazing job of not only making sure we saw everything that was in the listing but also added a few spots that matched our interests. All the sights were great, and despite a rainy day, we were able to dodge the rain with great timing by Ben. Lunch was wonderful with lots of choices. It was more than enough food. Loved the Gorge, alternative double waterfall, tortoises and the over look sights. We added a visit to the ship building factory, and additional overlooks. Because it had rained, the 7 colored spot was not as brilliant. Plenty of bathroom breaks, water stops and time at each spot. Never felt rushed.

I have used Viator multiple times in different countries and have always had great experiences. This tour was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The “guide” who I had to ask to make sure he was the guide blatantly told me that this tour that I booked was not a guided tour and that he was “just a driver”. I’m a history buff and love learning about different countries and their history/culture/unique geography. I learned NOTHING with this tour. I am extremely disappointed and discouraged from booking other tours with Viator because I’m afraid it’ll be another disappointing experience. I had so much planned for this trip and planned to use Viator for so many other tours. If you’re booking this trip, you’re better off getting a taxi and visiting the different sites on your own because it’ll be the same.

Very friendly guide with lots of local knowledge. The south is lush and verdant. Would recommend for a slow paced enjoyable day trip.
