it was a small group tour, and probably over three hours to get to the pinnacles with a stop along the way to experience sand boarding, which was great fun and everybody seemed to participate. We arrived at the desert and got plenty of opportunity to see a lot of the site and take many pictures. We had a really nice barbecue set up by the team, the food was nice and plenty of drinks. It was cold and they gave blankets out, however you do need to dress appropriately. The guide got a very large telescope out and spent a lot of time letting everybody view through it and he explained all of the things we could see which included.Saturn and its rings. It was one of the most memorable experiences we had on our six week trip to Australia and wouldn’t have missed it. The journey back was less time probably two hours as we did not stop off at the sand dunes . We would rate the experience very highly and recommend.

Trip was planned to see pinnacles and stars at night. Neil our driver and guide. Gave a very thorough explantation of the stars seen that night. They had a big telescope and high power binoculars. Nice dinner served and blankets available since it gets cold at night in desert.

Casper was our guide. He is obviously very knowledgeable about stars. A very informative trip. The pinnacles are amazing and, even though our day was fairly cloudy, the sunset was picturesque. The stops along the way gave us a good stretch of legs and photo opportunities. The picnic dinner was really lovely. Plus a glass of bubbly.

Sam was a terrific driver and guide, and make it an enjoyable experience out of a long day. But the bus was cramped, and there was not enough time to see the stars through the one telescope that they carried.

Fantastic trip. Even though the bus was a bit unloved and the microphone didn’t work, we had a great time. Leighton, our driver/guide looked after us a treat. Safe driving, friendly, helpful and professional. The bbq dinner was terrific and our sunset watching and star gazing, just brilliant. The astronomy part was carried out by the driver of the other bus, Hadril, I think his name was. Very knowledgeable and delivered an informative and entertaining session. We just loved our time at the Pinnacles. Thank you Leighton for all your assistance.

My family and I enjoyed the tour to the Pinnacles desert...very otherworldly looking, especially at sunset! We enjoyed a delicious bbq dinner (with wine!) and then enjoyed some stargazing with a high powered telescope...saw Saturn, surface of the moon, and the Milky Way. Very cool experience!
