I’ve done hundreds of tours and this was the best. Sand boarding was unexpected and fun. Guide Neil was knowledgeable and informative. The Pinnacles Desert is a special spot. We saw the entire Milky Way as Neil pointed out constellations. Incredible.

This is a must do tour if you are in Perth. It is a fairly long drive to the Pinnacles (with well spaced breaks), but the rewards at the end are amazing. Don is a great driver, guide, 'astrologer' and chef. His commentary through out the tour on the local history, formation of the Pinnacles, the planets and stars in the southern skies was informative and fun. The Australian BBQ (bread rolls, freshly cooked sausages, various salads and wine) was delicious. Also, learnt a thing or two from Emma's (the other bus driver/guide) night time photography lesson. Apart from one solitary kangaroo, unfortnately, we didn't spot many! Thanks, guys, for a memorable trip.

The length of stay in each stop is more than enough. Relaxed pace! The sand dunes was a great stop. Sandboards were provided. Even I with a right bum knee was able to walk up & down! You are free to roam amongst the Pinnacles while dinner is prepared. The Pinnacles & stars are your backdrops while enjoying dinner. Coffee, tea, hot choco & water are provided. They provide blankets & binoculars so you can lie down & look at the stars. They even brought their own telescope. Gavin patiently explains , let's all of us in our small group take pics & see the moon & planets. Dinner's great too: salads, potatoes, bread, beef & chicken sausages!!! Oh, wish we had some time to look at the Pinnacles spuvenir shop. Best of all, pick-up & drop-off at your hotel as we ended quite late. Great music btw Gavin and enjoyed your commentaries during the long drive, just right non-intrusive. Cheers!
