Adriatic «joie de vivre»!
Perched on a tiny piece of land stretching into the sea, friendly and overwhelmingly
picturesque, Piran is one of the most photogenic cities in the Mediterranean. Piran's unsurpassed charm and it is almost impossible not to fall in love with it on your first visit.
Nearby the poetically named Port of Roses - Portoroz is the prime Slovenian coastal resort town, where you will have enough free time to experience the vibe on "hotels stretch" promenade.

Nature Park Strunjan
Small group approach with carefully planned time, where experienced local tour operator’s chauffeur guide will collect you at designated location for an informative hourly ride to Mediterranean coast of Adriatic Sea. We’ll drive through the »green belt« of Slovenian coast, passing Strunjan, a natural habitat of the typical flora and fauna of this region, since 90’s protected as nature reserve. From tops you will have excellent views over greenery and grid of pools used at former salt pans.
Port Piran
This petite Venetian port can hold its own against anyone, including the imperial capital just over the horizon that was responsible for much of its fortune. In fact Piran does have the same kind of open-air museum feel to it as Venice, but only on much smaller scale. In Piran, you will feel as though you have stepped right into a picture postcard. You will be charmed during our walks through narrow winding streets of Piran! At the main square, you will be greeted by the statue of the most famous son of Piran, Giuseppe Tartini, composer and virtuoso violinist;

We very fortunately decided to add to our stay in beautiful Ljubljana an excursion to see Slovenia’s short but perfect Adriatic coastline. Piran and Portoroz are both very attractive and offer stunning sea views. Our guide, Milan, was a fountain of knowledge regarding Slovenian history and current affairs. A very interesting and friendly gentleman. Highly recommended.

We ended up in a small van with our very knowledgeable guide Milen (sp) giving us a spectrum of details across a range of topics. The coast was sunny and warm and overlooks Venice and Trieste across the Adriatic 👍

Our guide was very good and very concerned. We learnt also many things from him. We shall recommend this tour to our friends.

Spent about an hour in both Piran and Portoroza. Would have liked longer in Piran to able to climb the city walls but overall there was enough time to get a sense of this unique part of Slovenia. Piran had a number of cafes and restaurants serving freshly caught sardines and mussels. But decided to wait until later in the trip to eat and was disappointed at Portoroza as it is a beach resort selling “beach” fast food. The driver was good in explaining the history of the area.

I really enjoyed this trip although their was a lot of traffic on the motorway that sadly cut our time down in Piran. Piran was lovely but I was constantly clock watching due to an hour to go around. The church and clock tower was magnificant. I also enjoyed Port Rose too.

We wanted to see the Slovenian coast which is why we booked the trip. Piran was lovely and we were given 1 hour 15 mins there. We then travelled to Portoroz and we were given an hour there. Whilst we enjoyed the afternoon, a little more time in Piran and a little less in Portoroz would have been nice. Malan as our driver guide was good and very knowledgeable.

Had a great afternoon traveling to Piran. My guide was intelligent and knowledgeable about Slovenia and the world. We stopped at Wine Paradise so I could try a local wine. What a great stop!

This was our favorite day in Slovenia! We had Milan again as our guide, and he once again hit a home run with providing us history and information. We also ran into a lot of traffic close to the border and he was very diligent with finding an alternative route to get us to Piran quicker. We also detoured from Portoroz to a winery which was the best decision, it was an incredible experience with unbeatable views. Highly recommend!

It was a wonderful day enhanced by beautiful scenery, wandering through the historical and picturesque small town of Piran and coffee by the sea at the upmarket Portoroz. However best of all was the in depth knowledge of the culture, history and politics of the region of our driver who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable day.
