Did the Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle tour today from 1.15 to 6.30pm. Picked up on time by David on an eight person van tour. David was very professional, courteous and quite knowledgeable on all things associated with the tour and Slovenia in general. The cave system is something hard to put into mere words, particularly as it’s the third largest in the world. Not to be missed. Thanks David.

This tour was not completely what I expected. Our driver, David, was very knowledgeable and imparted some great information about Slovenia and the region we were headed to. But I didn't realize he was not our tour guide for the two places we visited. For the Predjama castle we were given audio guides which I tend to not use (preferring having an actual guide with me), but which did impart some interesting tidbits about the various rooms & items within the castle. And while I do like having an in person guide, having an audio guide instead did give us the freedom to spend as much or as little time in each section of the castle as we wanted, take time for various photo ops, etc. For the Postojna caves, we did have a guide. But again I didn't realize it wasn't going to be David but rather a guide there, where they take in massive groups at a time so our small group of 8 was thrown in with another 50-60 people which made the tour itself a bit less enjoyable. The tour also has us walking through various sections of the cavern very quickly with very little time for photo opportunities and my husband and I fell behind from constantly stopping to take pictures and ended up missing some information on a few of the sections we walked through as the guide was not stopping and waiting very long before moving along. Despite this I think the tour was still highly enjoyable overall. If there was a way to have a smaller group in the caves I think that would be great, but it doesn't look like that's how they have it set-up so I don't know that that is possible. Would still recommend this tour. I fully expected the caves to be the highlight of the tour for me but it ended up being the castle which had some interesting history and was quite a lot of fun to walk through and visit.

What a fantastic experience my family and I had with the Slovenian Wander tour company on 03 September 2025 to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle. David the driver and guide was brilliant. He was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable which made the afternoon really enjoyable and overall a great afternoon with minimal stress. Can’t recommend David and the organisation enough. Thank you all, a 5 star experience.

It is an amazing trip! The timing allowed in each of the venue was perfect! Our guide Nathan is very knowledgeable and gave us the historical information required to enjoy the places. He is funny, patient, and took care of the tourists very well! Few of the tourists did or have jacket to take to the predjama cave. Nathan borrowed us jackets which was a very good gesture towards his clients! I would highly recommend the trip and the guide Nathan.

Our guide from Ljubljana was excellent. He picked us up on time, provided informative commentary, and even a local treat at the end! There were seven in our van which was perfect size. Both the castle and caves were amazing. The caves use there own guides. There were 77 in our cave group which meant if you were not at the front you missed some of the commentary.

Great guide Nate! Very friendly and knowledgeable from the beginning until the end and even dropped us off back at our hotel. Throughout the journey he kept us entertained with information about Slovenia history and culture. We received clear instructions of where pick up point was and we even got a message to let us know that they were running a few minutes late. Very comfortable car and great to do the trip with a small group. We picked this trip as they were the only company that seemed to offer the afternoon trip rather than a full day - and we were very happy that we decided on this option rather than a full day. We felt like valued clients and were very impressed by the service provided by Nate! We will recommend to friends and family who plan to visit Ljubljana
