Postojna Cave
Postojna Cave, located in Slovenia, is a mesmerizing natural wonder that attracts numerous travelers from around the world. Upon entering the cave, visitors will be immersed in a breathtaking underground world of stunning geological formations, vast chambers, and intricate tunnels. The train ride begins near the entrance of Postojna Cave. Visitors board a small electric train that is specially designed to navigate the cave's narrow passages. During the train ride, visitors have the option of listening to an audio guide or a guide's commentary, available in multiple languages. This provides valuable information about the cave's geological wonders, history, and the unique ecosystem found within. After a captivating journey through the cave, the train eventually returns to the starting point near the entrance. 5.00This tour starts by going to Predjama Castle, which is nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. Seeing how this castle was built into the side of a rock face was amazing, and then going from room-to-room to see the inside was interesting. From there, you travel to the Postojna Cave. The caves are 10 degrees Celsius year round, so make sure you have a jacket. I have never been inside a cave system before, so this was a first for me. The rock formations inside were spectacular. FYI, there were no stairs within the caves; it was all ramps. The Castle was nothing but stairs.

5.00We loved Slovenia. Beautiful and wonderful places. Would highly recommend David. He was very accommodating providing transport from the cruise ship to the sites in Slovenia. Made sure we knew all about the sights we were seeing, including the castle and the caves! He helped us get our tour tickets set-up, helped us take photos, and kept our luggage safe. He was also knowledgeable about Venice and transportation needs. Parked and walked us to the water taxis area. Helped us with the luggage and to get on a water taxi to our hotel in Venice. Cannot recommend him enough. We had an enjoyable, relaxing day transferring from Trieste to Venice via Slovenia. Definitely a highlight of our two week vacation!!
