Elbe Sandstone Mountains
Take in the breathtaking views of the Saxon Switzerland National Park at one of its most famous sights - the Bastei Bridge. We’ll visit one of the most iconic spots in Saxon Switzerland National Park—the breathtaking Bastei Bridge. Built in the 19th century, when the region first became a popular destination for nature lovers and artists, the bridge connects towering sandstone rock formations high above the Elbe River. From the Bastei rocks and the bridge, you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and the endless green forests that stretch across the landscape. It’s one of the most photogenic locations in the region and a perfect place to take in the natural beauty of Saxon Switzerland.
The Dresden Zwinger
In Dresden, we take a look at the extravagant Zwinger palace, and Semperoper house, learn about the history of Dresden, see the biggest mural painting on the walls of the Royal palace, visit the magnificent Frauenkirche church and then sit down for a delicious lunch (not included).

5.00I was hesitant at first because of mixed reviews. I decided to take the chance because there were also great reviews. I booked the tour from Prague to Berlin. We only had 3 people but my tour could not be guaranteed until a 4th person booked. They will not do a tour with less than 4 people for the 99 euro rate. They offered to guarantee the tour with 4 people costing 396 euros. I agreed so I was guaranteed a tour guide would be available. You can also book a private tour for 500 euros but I figured I would save where I can. We ended up having the tour to ourselves so it was like a private tour. We had to meet at the meeting spot since it was technically a group tour. Our tour guide, Sarka was extremely prompt. She built rapport with us, then let us rest while show drove. She was extremely knowledgeable about each of our stops. Our travel day was on a Sunday so there was really no traffic on the road. Traveling on Sunday was also perfect since stores in Berlin are all closed on Sunday except for food establishments. Sarka made really good timing and we arrived to Berlin a little before 5pm. Please understand that timing is different for each group depending on day of week and group size. Overall, I am EXTREMELY happy that i booked this side trip. So worth it and Sarka is the BEST!

5.00Fabulous way to travel from Berlin to Prague and efficiently see some great sights en route. The Dresden stop was just right with enough but not too much time to see the highlights, and the Bohemian Switzerland National Park/Saxon Switzerland National Park was absolutely stunning. Our guide Sarka was amazing - she is incredibly knowledgeable, has an encyclopedic grasp of history, culture and customs in the countries/towns we visited, and offered really helpful tips about what to see and do not only during our transfer but also for our stay in Prague. Highly, highly recommend.

5.00Really enjoyed the day, Stefan was on time and very friendly. We enjoyed good conversation, a safe and easy drive, and stops at gorgeous places. It was definitely the best way to travel from Prague to Berlin. After a four week trip so far, all pressure was off and it was good to know we were in safe hands. Great value, great experience. Highly recommend.

Bastei Bridge is THE highlight!!

5.00This tour is the perfect way to see cities I would’ve otherwise probably not gotten to see! Dresden was cool, but the view from the Bastei Bridge in particular made the entire trip truly worth it - even with a drizzle. It was absolutely stunning. Our guide Jon was very friendly and accommodating. He made sure that we got some great pictures and were comfortable throughout the tour. It was a wonderful day overall!

5.00Don’t hesitate to book with SideTrip! They are very reliable. We were totally satisfied with all aspects of this experience from start to finish. Our guide Jonathan was terrific. We booked the private door to door tour and it was worth it. It was pouring rain when we got to the Bastei Bridge, so we asked Jonathan to cut that short and spend more time in Dresden, which was lovely. If you need to get from prague to berlin, this is a fun way to do it!

We made three stops at beautiful locations to include a lunch spot. Petr was an excellent tour guide taking us on several walking tours along the way.
