The Citadel

After breakfast, drive to downtown Amman to explore the city’s highlights. Visit the historic Citadel and its Archaeological Museum, admire the ancient Roman Theatre, and stroll through the vibrant souks. Pass by the iconic Husseini Mosque, explore the charming cafés and shops along Rainbow Street, and view the impressive King Abdullah Mosque. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Jerash Ruins

In the morning, drive approximately two hours from Amman to Gadara (Umm Qais), a city that was part of the famous Decapolis founded during the era of Alexander the Great. Enjoy sweeping views over the northern Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights, and the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the Middle East, where you’ll explore the magnificent Forum, colonnaded Roman streets, the Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis. Next, visit Ajloun Castle, a remarkable 12th-century Islamic fortress built around 1184/85 by the famed leader Salah al-Din. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.

Ma'in Hot Springs

After breakfast, drive to Madaba to visit St. George’s Church and admire the famous 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine. Continue to Mount Nebo, where Prophet Moses is said to have gazed upon the Promised Land, offering breathtaking views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and parts of the Holy Land. Proceed to the Dead Sea Panoramic Complex, perched atop dramatic cliffs with spectacular views of the Dead Sea and surrounding landscapes. Conclude the day with a relaxing visit to Hammamat Ma’in, a natural hot freshwater mineral spring with waterfalls, situated 264 meters (870 ft) below sea level in a stunning setting.

After breakfast, head to the legendary Red Rose City of Petra, Jordan’s most iconic attraction. Established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, Petra became a thriving commercial hub extending into Syria. With your guide, walk through the dramatic canyon known as the Siq to reach the stunning Treasury. Continue to explore the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh’s Castle. After an early breakfast, begin your day exploring Petra’s highlights, including the Treasury, Amphitheatre, and the Monastery (El Deir). Take the back trail across the mountain ridge to the Baida region, offering spectacular views of the Rift Valley of Wadi Araba and the unique landscape of Little Petra. Return to your Petra hotel for dinner and overnight. This route takes a minimum of 5 hours (depending on pace) and requires a moderate level of fitness.

Wadi Rum Protected Area

After breakfast at your hotel, drive approximately 1.5 hours south to the protected desert area of Wadi Rum, one of the world’s most spectacular landscapes. In the afternoon, embark on a jeep tour to explore natural rock bridges in Jebel Burdah and Um Fruth, with the option to climb ladders for a closer view. Continue with a walk through Abu Khasheba Canyon, and conclude the excursion at a prime sunset viewpoint. Return to your desert camp for dinner, evening entertainment, and overnight stay under the stars.
