What To Expect
Colombo to Mirissa
Madu River Safari by Buddhi
Madhu River in Balapitiya for a 1-hour boat ride. Explore far into the mysterious depths of the mangrove marshes of the Madu River. Traverse the dark and dangerous caverns formed by the thick mangrove forests, interspersed with bright open stretches of water. From your friendly instructors, you will learn about mangroves and their positive effect on ecology. During your boat ride, you will also get the chance to see crocodiles, water snakes, tree snakes, and wild boars in their natural habitat. Witness the indigenous citizens' production of peeled cinnamon and cinnamon oil.
Galle Dutch Fort
Galle Fort, which stands tall above the shimmering sea. Learn how the fort was built by the Portuguese, conquered by the Dutch, and eventually reconstructed by the Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. Stroll past the remnants of colonial rule and take note of how the area has been transformed into a symbol of Sri Lanka's complex architectural history.
Mirissa Beach
Then, proceed to Ahangama fishing village, where you can try your hand at stilt fishing, before heading back to your hotel in Mirissa for a relaxing overnight stay.

Start your second day bright and early and head to Yala National Park for an exciting Jeep Safari ride. Yala National Park has one of the highest leopard densities in the world, and its elephant population ranges between 300 and 350. This makes it the best park in the country to see and photograph leopards and elephants, as well as mammals such as sloth bears, black-naped hares, spotted deer, sambar deer, Hanuman langurs, toque macaques, stripe-necked and ruff monkeys, wild boar, and golden jackals. You may also see reptiles such as the land and water monitor and the marsh crocodile. After a day of wildlife spotting, you will be returned to your accommodation in Colombo or Negombo.
