Our guide Susan was amazing. She encouraged us to explore things like Chinese massage, Chinese tea house, and an evening light show. We accepted all her recommendations and were delighted. She speaks exceptional English which was a blessing, and was a delight to be around. Not all guides are created equal…she was superior and exceeded all our expectations!!

We did a two-day tour covering Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain, and it was honestly one of the most incredible places I’ve ever visited. The highlight for me was definitely the Avatar Mountains in Yuanjiajie — seeing those huge stone pillars rising out of the mist felt like stepping into another world. Photos really don’t do it justice. Tianzi Mountain had amazing views as well, and Tianmen Mountain on the second day was also impressive, especially the long cable car ride and the glass walkway. Everything was well organized and our guide made the trip easy and enjoyable. If you’re visiting Zhangjiajie, make sure you see the Avatar Mountains — they’re unforgettable.
