You’ll spend two days and one night on Mount Rinjani trekking, Starting from Sembaln village to the crater rim of Sembalun, the summit, and back to Sembalun village.
The trek will start from Sembalun village at an altitude of 1100 m and will also take place in Sembalun village. This route will be pampered with a vast landscape, a little long path, and a bit of heat during crossing the meadow. To get to the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2.600 m, you will need a lot of stamina because you have to climb five hills that are very high and challenging.
On the second day is the struggle to reach the summit with a height of 3.726m, starting at 2 a.m. in order to get the sun rise over the summit. Of course, this is very impressive because you can already conquer the second highest mountain in Indonesia, and you capture your moment by taking pictures.

After breakfast and a rest, we will continue to go down to Sembalun village for 4-5 hours, have some lunch in Post 3 or 2 and arrive in Sembalun village (1,150m) at noon. Trekking/Climbing Rinjani with Rinjani Hero was an incredible experience! We did the 2 Days / 1 Night Summit trek starting on June 26, 2025, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. A huge thank-you to our amazing guides and porters, who did everything possible to make the journey comfortable and enjoyable. They were always supportive, cheerful, and professional — carrying heavy loads, setting up camp, cooking delicious meals, and making sure we had everything we needed. The trek itself was challenging but absolutely worth it — the sunrise from the summit was breathtaking and unforgettable. Thanks to the whole Rinjani Hero team for making this adventure so smooth, safe, and memorable. Highly recommended!

Great experience with Rinjani hero! The boss Ialu was personally involved in arranging our logistics and doing the safety briefing the night before, even lent us his backpack! Our guide Ir was very friendly, experienced and supportive too (he seems to climb every other day!) - helping us during difficult parts, taking on extra load from us and brought multiple drink options and snacks for us. Our porters also served amazing food and drink even in the given constraints - lunch and dinner had fruit platters with 4 types of fruits! Our sleeping conditions were also comfortable with a well cushioned gym mat + sleeping bag. Everything went smoothly and safely, highly recommend :) My only advice - get a strong headlight for the summit climb in the dark and bring a sign for the summit as there's no marking at the top

Our experience with Rinjani Hero was truly memorable! They took care of every detail, picking us up at our hotel, drove us from south to north of Lombok and setting us an overnight stay. Later on we had a review of the hike and make sure we were all set. We were picked up at 8 a.m. and then we drove for about 45 min to the entry point into Rinjani National Park. Our entrance was sorted out quickly and we started hiking at 9.30 a.m. The hike was challenging at times, mainly due to the heat and humidity, dry terrain and loose dust underfoot. Thankfully we were lucky to have cloud cover for a good portion of the hike, shielding us from the direct sun up until the campsite on the rim below the Rinjani summit. Our porters prepared all the meals and each dish was absolutely delicious – kudos to the team for the fantastic food! We woke up at 1:00 a.m., started our summit hike at 2:00 a.m., and reached the top a little past 5:00 a.m. Our guide joined us for the ascent, providing valuable support along the way. The climb was very windy, with temperatures around 7°C, making it a cold but exhilarating experience. We were rewarded with a stunning sunrise at the summit, and when we returned to the camp, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast before beginning our descent. The team was incredibly efficient and friendly, making our Rinjani trek an unforgettable adventure. Highly recommended!

I wholeheartedly recommend this experience! It was physically challenging, but the effort was more than worth it for the stunning scenery. Our guides, were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout the entire trek. Everything was well organized, from the comfortable camp to the delicious, well prepared meals. We even got hiking poles, which was a great help. Overall, it was a fantastic adventure, and we had a wonderful time.

I did the 2D1N trek with Rinjani Hero crew, and it was epic! The porters were awesome and took care of everything. The food? So good! They really made sure we were well looked after. The hike itself is tough, and it gets freezing at the top, so make sure you're ready for that! I didn’t bring gloves and totally regretted it. But overall, it was such a rewarding trek. Would 100% recommend Rinjani Hero and his team!

The private trekking trip was well organized. Rinjani Hero gave us a detailed introduction about what we were going to do the day before trekking. The guide was friendly and really informative, and taught us a lot about Rinjani mountain, and sasak culture. The food was delicious and came with good variety. Rinjani is one of the most beautiful mountains we’ve ever hiked: Savanna around Sembalun trailhead, volcanic lake, hot spring, sunset at Senaru crater rim, and panoramic views from the summit.
