Begin an unforgettable trip through almost 7,500 square miles (12,000 km²) of fantastic landscapes of salt and surrealist landscapes of deserts and colored lagoons of the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve. The dazzling white mantle of the Salar de Uyuni resembles an immense glacier. In winter (dry season from May to October), when the surface hardens, geometric figures formed by the salt particles agglomerated into polygons appear. In summer (rainy season from November to March) the salt desert is transformed into a giant mirror that blends into the sky of the purest blue you've ever seen before.

Day 1: (L, D) To begin with this adventure, we pick you up from your Hotel in Uyuni, in your private mobility and your professional guide. Our adventure begins visiting an outdoor museum of ancient and impressive field trains.

Colchani
Visit with photo stop. Enter the Salar by Colchani where we will see the salt processing and piles of salt, visit the hotel salt, eyes water and continue downtown to visit the Incahuasi Island of volcanic rock and giant cactus and a top that climb it becomes extraordinary viewpoint of the white salt plain.
Salar de Uyuni

Isla Incahuasi
Visit with photo stop. Then we'll go north, a distance of several kilometers to the Thunupa volcano, whose slopes accede to visit the Pucara of Ayque (pre-Columbian ruins), with great views, Coquesa Mummies and the Mirador de Thunupa, which ascend in car to near its crater for a breathtaking view of the Salar, in all its glory. Overnight at the Sal Hostel , which are ecological model and hotels with private bathroom, and excellent service

Continue To the south are Cañapa gaps, Stinking, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramadita, where large numbers of flamingos can be founded. Other birds, such as geese and Andean gulls accompany the flamingos in these lagoons flanked by snow-capped volcanoes that have a green skirt down (brava straw yareta and thola).

Excellent Private Multi Day Tour - Uyuni Salt Flats: White Deserts and Colored Lagoons

5.00We had a wonderful three day, two night tour of Salar de Uyuni and the Siloli Desert. Our tour guide - Oscar - was excellent; very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and the wildlife we saw. Samuel, our driver, did an amazing job driving both on the Salar and touring the desert. On the first day of our tour, after being picked up at our hotel, we stopped in Colchani for a stop to see how they process salt. We then entered the Salar de Uyuni for a full day of touring on the Salt Flat. Overnight was spent in Tayka de Sal - a lovely hotel made of salt on the edge of the Salar. Before dinner Samuel and Oscar took us out on the Salar to see the sunset, accompained by wine and snacks. On the second day we exited the Salar and began our travels to the Siloli Desert, where the landscape changed to volcanic rock formations, lagoons and Andean scenery. That night was spent at the Hotel Tayka Del Desierto, a very high altitude hotel. On our last day we continued to tour the desert, visiting several colorful lagoons full of flamingos. We had a great tour - saw a beautiful part of Boliva, and Oscar and Samuel were enjoyable to travel with.

5.00It was a really great experience, thanks to the organization and our Oscar guide who showed us every detail of the places visited during the tour, not to mention the fantastic photos he took of us! In addition, we felt safe during the not always "gentle" journeys along the Bolivian roads, thanks to our driver Samuel. Great food and every facility we stayed at lived up to expectations and fully integrated into the tour. Overrecommended!

5.00We booked with jokers a private 4 day and 3 night tour from Uyuni between the Salar and the beautiful Bolivian lagoons. The organization and communication were perfect, we really missed nothing and we felt really pampered. Our Lear Guide was magnificent, always available, explained everything and introduced us to the traditions and cultures of the place making those places even more magical and in addition he took many photos and videos and even our driver Coco was super! Ultimately definitely recommended tour, beauty and professionalism will not be missing!

5.00After searching and contacting several tour agents for a private 3-day Uyuni trip, we chose Joker Expeditions and had a wonderful experience with them. As usual, we had several questions before the trip, and the owner of this young company was very communicative. He responded to all my questions very fast. Throughout 3 days of the trip, we had Al as our guide and Iver as our driver. Al’s enthusiasm, professionalism and Iver’s carefulness made the tour safe and enjoyable. We enjoyed all the lunches they prepared. The sunrise and sunset drinks and snacks were another nice surprise! We also highly appreciated that they gave us a 4WD Toyota Lexus, the best car ever, which made our long drive less tiring. Highly recommeblnd this company!

5.00Absolutely incredible tour company! My friend and I had an amazing experience touring the Uyuni Salt Flats and southern Bolivia. Beautiful landscapes, and the tour company was fabulous. Very responsive and responsible. Also, our guide, Janeth, was just wonderful and so nice. Overall, I would recommend this tour company to anyone.

5.00Absolutely Brilliant Trip! From booking to end of trip, everything exceeded our expectations. Jose was attentive and always (always on WhatsApp) willing to answer our questions to help tailor our trip. The price was extremely competitive (I inquired a lot before booking). We had trouble sourcing bolivianos to cross the border and he was extremely helpful with this. Then our driver and guide Al and Silvio were wonderful. Silvio’s car was clean, comfortable, well stocked and his driving was mind boggling efficient. Al had bottomless knowledge and his joviality and professionalism and photography was very much appreciated. From pickup at the border to the end of the trip the two of them ensures we were well looked after! Their singing, anecdotes and attentiveness was top notch. We suffered from altitude sickness and the two of them went above and beyond to ensure we improved. Al suggested things not on the itinerary that we might enjoy doing and also he was an endless spring of knowledge (we especially appreciated all the animal trivia and sightings! All in all Joker expedition should be on anyone’s list for a trip in the region. The whole team is brilliant. Words are not enough to express how much we appreciates their work. Brilliant!

5.00Jose and his team, especially Alvaro - the guide are the best in town. Firstly, I contacted some of well-know agencies in Uyuni and based on the replies, I chose Joker Expedition to be the operator for my 3 days tour in Uyuni salt flat and Lagoons. The first day we arrive in Uyuni at 7am, Jose already prepared the room for resting and shower and even breakfast in his nice Atipax hotel (the other agencies will greet you and bring you to some places for waiting only). Then we started the tour with Alvaro - great English skilled guide with lot of knowledge in our journey. He and mr Driver always chose the time perfectly in each stop for us to have all the place alone for 30-45 minutes so we could take the photos. The car was very new and was taken care by mr Driver, we had the oxygen tank onboard which helped another sick guest we met on the way on the 3rd day (that agency didn’t prepare the oxygen tank on their car). And after we arrived back to Uyuni, a room in Atipax hotel was already for us until we departed to bus station. Perfect trip that we had!

5.00It was a wonderful experience. They provided us a personalized tour, according with our plans. We arrived to Uyuni by plain, from La Paz, and returned by noturnal bus. We spend one day knowing the beauty of Uyuni Salar and the other two days knowing amazing wild Bolívian Andes. Silvio, our guide, have a high knowledge of his country and showed us amazing places. Highly recommended 😄
