Santiago stands out for its easy access to imposing peaks such as Cerro Pintor, located at 4180 meters above sea level. This hill, famous for its red, green and blue colors, can be accessed in one day from Santiago, starting at the La Parva ski center.
The route includes an ascent to Laguna Piuquenes and then an additional 200 meters to El Pintor, passing through La Parva hill. Although technically simple, the route requires physical effort, especially at more than 4,000 meters above sea level where the climate is colder and the air drier. The summit offers spectacular views, especially of El Plomo Hill.

During my four-day stay at the 4200m base camp, my guide Vicente really cared about me 24 hours a day and made sure I could climb El Promo. Unfortunately, my altitude sickness symptoms did not heal and I gave up climbing at 4800m, but I was able to climb to an altitude far higher than Japan's highest mountain, Mt. Fuji, thanks to Vicente's wonderful tour. Muchas Gracias, Vicente! Look at the Andes, which are not yet known to Japanese people.

I was with them on a three-day expedition, where we managed to make four wonderful summits. An experience full of commitment for the well-being of each of us, happy and infinitely grateful!!!

Just arrived in Santiago, we went to El Pintor with Puma Adventures on day two of our holiday in Chile. For me the first time at over 4000m altitude. We already had extensive contact with Vicente, the managing director and mountain guide of pumaadventures.com by email - Vicente was able to answer all our questions and worries and even give us a real impression of the tour in advance. The actual tour then started early in the morning in the middle of Santiago, we were picked up at the hotel before we went by car at 3000m above sea level. Overall we were almost 9 hours on our feet with several breaks and sufficient food. Vicente had prepared a perfect packed lunch for us, for the sandwiches we still have to say thank you, they were just perfect. Hot coffee at the summit and a cool surprise at the end of the tour. Yes and there is not much to say about nature, you have to experience it yourself. Indescribably beautiful this day and above all perfectly organized by Vicente and Pumaadventures! We will come back and want to experience many more tours together with Vicente!

Vicente was a great guide, surprisingly very good food packed (my sister and I are bith veggie), and tbh this hike is much more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Very quick communications on whatsapp. And most importantly for us, he was open and willing to guide us on xmas day which was incredibly incredibly nice of him Overall, fun acclimitization hike prior to hitting up some volcanoes in the atacama. Would definitely recommend

Wonderful trail. Going in November, we can see a lot of snow, and also with good weather. Javiera and Vicente were excellent from start to finish. I'll make new tracks with them.
