What To Expect

Upon exiting the doors of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, the first thing you’ll notice is the warm and friendly greeting from your driver. All of our drivers can converse in English. Joya Bali Driver’s airport transfer service includes a meet-and-greet service, where the driver will be waiting for you at the arrival hall with a sign displaying your name or the name of your group. Need reliable and safe Private Driver from Airport to Hotel, getting around Denpasar area and travel to tourist locations across Bali. Here is reliable and safe driver with modern vehicle with air conditioning, working seat belts and street smarts who aims to give you an authentic Bali experience. We travelled across south and east Bali in August 2025 for 12 days and utilized our time to have the best experiences. Our driver Jali Ghazali contacted via WhatsApp (phone: +6281338799310) who has been driving since 2016 and is familiar with the roads, able to utilize shortcuts to get around traffic jams and aware of the best routes to get to places to avoid the big crowds. Important to have a driver that will look after you and can be hired for 4, 6, 8 hour blocks. Also, do look after your driver with meal allowance. Generally, traveling around the tourist places is crazy with crowds of people everywhere and walking around the narrow footpaths with offerrings is hazardous. If you are comfortable traveling on very narrow streets, in chaotic traffic that don’t follow conventional road rules and want to chance it with hiring car or a motor scooter to drive knock yourself out. Helmets are not optional and required by law. You can be pulled over by police and fined if caught or worse have an accident and fall off. The taxi service via car or scooters by Bluebird app is cheaper yet you will get bumped and could be waiting hours. Gojek app for taxi is slightly more expensive yet more reliable. Note: taxi fares via the app charge give one price yet charge minimum fare for short distances. Minimum fares can add up over the day. Remoter areas outside of Denpasar and Ubud, Nusa Dua, have limited or no taxi services. If you plan your day and commit to a private driver you will not have to worry about the hassle of driving, reading confusing maps, insurance, filling up/charging and parking. If you book ahead by at least 1-2 days you will get to see and have wonderful experiences that can be more relaxing, convenient and economical for day trips. If going longer distances (over 8 hours) you should put up cost for the driver to have overnight stay with accommodation and meal for safety. Enjoy Bali and support the local Balinese people.

Putu Ardy was really amazing from the booking to the actual tour. Putu was very responsive to make sure we received the tour that fit our family’s needs, and found us competitive prices for some of the activities, especially the ATV tour. Putu explained a lot during our drive, and even stayed with us for an extra two hours so we could do some shopping in Ubud Center. Definitely recommend using Putu for any of your Bali tours

We made a family trip to Bali between July 4th and 11th. I planned this trip for my wife's 40th, and did all the research from the US way back in February itself. Looked up several drivers including some popular ones on Instagram and those with better websites but still I ended up choosing Putu. He gave me the best responses on WhatsApp and pricing was intermediate. Putu was perfect. We felt really safe with him, drove very safely in the crazy Bali traffic, spoke English well and best of all got along with my kids aged 13, 11 and 9. This made our trip really special. Putu stayed with us the whole trip and I really liked that. I did not want a different driver every day. We had discussed the payments beforehand and I paid at the end of the day in IDR. There was one day I did not have the cash on hand, and I just paid him the next day. We did freelance tours everyday, and chose the ATV and Whitewater rafting package which I highly recommend. Since the traffic is so heavy in Bali, I felt that freelance was better as we could tailor it to how our family and kids felt like doing that day. Look no further, I highly recommend Putu!

Our driver Ketut was the best. He was ready & waiting for us among so many other drivers picking up arriving clients. We found him easily with the sign that had our name. He got us to our hotel in Nusa Dua in less than 20 minutes. He was very friendly and answered our questions about Bali. Would highly recommend.
