• Great Tour and Tour Guide!

  We arrived by early by tender, but our guide was waiting for us. We had an action-packed day with our wonderful tour guide Lins (who was the owner and also a police officer so we felt very safe).   He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Belize City and the towns along our way to Altun Ha and the Howler Monkey Sanctuary.    We enjoyed fresh coconut juice straight from the tree at his home, local plantain snacks and traditional Belizean Chicken with Rice & Beans.    The walk through the jungle in the Howler Monkey Sanctuary was led by a conservationist and we saw plenty of monkeys.   We thoroughly enjoyed our tour guide at Altun Ha Mayan ruins who led us up on the tombs and told us the history.  Be aware that the country roads were rough and our driver often had to maneuver around large potholes.    We had a great personalized tour of Belize!

  We had such a great afternoon on this tour. Our guide made such good choices about what order to do things in to avoid the crowds, and he added all of these small extra stops to show us other small parts of the local community that were so interesting. The site-specific guides at both the Howler Monkey preserve and Altun Ha were also knowledgeable, warm and fun! Highly recommend!!!

  Our experience was top notch! Our guide arrived at our hotel early and with snacks. He lined up excellent interpretive guides at the monkey sanctuary and ruins. He, himself, was exceptionally knowledgeable and made the travel out and back interesting and fun. We will book with them again when we visit Belize again!

  

  

• Disappointing and uncomfortable. Skip this tour.

  We were very disappointed with this tour. We spent a week doing various Viator tours at different port cities and all were great except for this one, this tour operator is sub standard. The vehicle was in poor condition, old dirty van with AC that was barely operable and would not maintain cool temperature. The tour duration states 4.5 hours, which is entirely inaccurate. To complete the tour you need 7+ hours. The first stop is 2 hours from the cruise port. We felt uncomfortable with the condition of the vehicle and the tour operator and asked to be returned to the port about an hour in to the drive. We had children with us so the inaccurate time description was a deal breaker. On our return the driver took us through the city on an unsolicited city tour explaining that his pay is extremely low and he operates on tips. He stopped to talk to locals at red lights and they looked in the window and also suggested to make sure we tip our driver well. The entire experience was uncomfortable. I minimized complaints during the tour because the driver was confrontational, just returning to the port as quickly as possible seemed like the best and safest solution. I would not recommend this tour under any circumstances and would urge others not to make the same mistake.

• A great half day when transiting to/from Ambergris

  The PERFECT way to spend a half day while transiting from Ambergris to the US. We were picked up at the airport in a minivan and transported to see howlers in their native habitat. We also climbed Altun Ha's Mayan temples and had a great tour of Belize City. All capped off with a great little food truck stop before arriving back at the airport in time for our international departure. Guide was knowledgeable. English was perfect.

  What a great experience!!! Frederick was an amazing guide. He gave great details about the history of the temples and the city. Great guy! I recommend this tour to anyone coming to Belize.

  Adrian was a fantastic guide for this experience. His knowledge and experience is apparent from the first time you meet him and he does a fantastic job making your adventure the best it can be. We arrived a little bit late from the cruise ship but Adrian was waiting for us with his vehicle to get us out to our experience as soon as possible. We went and visited the howler monkeys which was an amazing experience where we were able to hand feed the monkeys and snap photos of the full family. Adrian then brought us to Altun Ha where he gave us a tour of the grounds, gave us the history of the Mayan people who lived there, and the discovery of the ruins. And then gave us some free time to climb the ruins and enjoy the views. It was a very hot day but Adrian was kind enough to have packed extra water for our group! After the ruins Adrian treated us to an absolutely delicious meal on the way back into Belize City where we were able to make it back to our tender boats with plenty of time. Adrian was an absolute pleasure to have as a tour guide and I would recommend this experience to any travelers. This experience gave us a very good flavor of the local culture, while also being a comfortable and memorable experience. One note: if you are coming from a cruise tender, there are multiple exits from the terminal. The exit that we were supposed to meet Adrian at was towards the middle of the port. Not where the other cruise excursions were exiting. Adrian was kind enough to come looking for our group so it worked out in the end!

  We were so pleased with our personal tour. The driver Rubi was so kind and cheerful to be with. And, they provided us with an impressive guide that was highly knowledgeable and entertaining. Absolutely the best tour in Belize City. We'll be remembering this for many years. Please consider this tour company, you will not be disappointed.

  What a great tour on our first day exploring Belize! I would highly recommend this tour. Lins picked us up from our hotel and drove us to see some of the important sites in Belize city. Lins also arranged for us to get a tour of the museum to learn more about the history of the slave trade. We also saw many beautiful paintings by Pen Cayetano and Angela Gegg. Lins is a detective in Belize and very knowledgeable. It was enjoyable learning more about the country and people of Belize as he was driving. We got to Altun Ha a little later in the morning and had a guide show the four of us the Mayan ruins. We were able to climb to the top of the ruins for a great view. We had the ruins largely to ourselves! We then were taken to see the howler monkeys by another guide Robert who was extremely knowledgeable. We watched the monkeys eat rose apples and were able to hear a male howl. Lins took us back to the hotel to get our luggage and was kind to drive us to the airport to catch our flight to San Pedro. Lins was very accommodating and we were able to see more things than we had originally expected.
