What To Expect
Join Kevin for an exciting two hour bird walk. Henderson County's Jackson Park is a birding hotspot and has proven to be a great place to find birds in every season! We'll explore the park's network of easy trails and discuss bird identification, behavior, vocalizations and anything else you have ever wondered about birds. In addition to birds we may see other wildlife including turtles, otters and muskrats. Bring your own binoculars or borrow ours!

5.00What a pleasure to join a small group led by Kevin Burke for a morning of birding at Jackson Park in Hendersonville, NC! During this season, I wanted to especially see some fall migrants, especially warblers, and wow, did we ever have some great sightings... 14 different species of warblers, including a Golden-winged and Wilson's warbler which I never seen before. The park is nationally known as a birding hotspot, and it was easy and accessible to walk, stop, and observe so many species. Kevin was a fabulous leader, quick to see birds that were sometimes hidden, and helpfully using a laser pointer at times to ensure everyone in the group spotted it. I would not have seen or been able to identify nearly as many species on my own. His knowledge of birds and bird behavior was truly impressive, and his friendly and helpful manner made for a really enjoyable morning. The cost and length of visit was very reasonable and the small group experience was perfect. Highly recommend!

5.00I had a wonderful time on my wild flower walk with Carolina Nature Tours. Jennie was a great guide. She was so knowledgeable and her ability to spot interesting plants hiding in the dense undergrowth is amazing. I can’t wait to book my next trip.
