Hungarian State Opera House - Magyar Allami Operahaz
The Hungarian State Opera House (Hungarian: Magyar Állami Operaház) is a neo-Renaissance opera house located in central Budapest, on Andrássy út. Originally known as the Hungarian Royal Opera House, it was designed by Miklós Ybl, a major figure of 19th-century Hungarian architecture.

5.00We booked a TukTuk tour with Paul early in our trip because we wanted a fun way to get our bearings in Budapest—and it turned out to be such a great decision. He met us right on time, welcomed us like old friends, and immediately asked what we were most excited to see. It felt like touring the city with someone who genuinely loves it: we cruised past beautiful landmarks, ducked into quieter streets we never would’ve found on our own, and Paul shared stories and context that made everything click. Paul answered all our questions and explained the “why” behind what we were seeing, which made the city feel much more memorable than a standard drive-by tour. If you want a Budapest TukTuk experience that feels personal—not scripted—book with Paul. We’d absolutely do it again and would recommend him to friends without hesitation.

5.00Our driver - tour guide Gabriella was so knowledgeable about the history of both Budapest and Hungry itself. She took us all over the city, explained everything we were seeing and the history behind everything. She made me fall in love with the city and the people. It is the best way to see the whole city and learn about it. The Tuk Tuk was fun to ride in and because of the openness of the ride we were able to see and take tons of pictures. Anytime we wanted to stop to see something our driver did so safely. I think this is the best way to get a real feel for the city and it's history. I will be talking about this tour for years to come. I can't recommend it enough. When you book your tour I would ask for Gabriella, she made the whole experience great.

3.00The guide, Norbert , was knowledgeable, very polite and willing to drive anywhere . The vehicle on the other hand was a bad experience . The car was old, noisy, without suspension, ideal for damaging your back, combined with the network of unmaintained roads . If you are older with a bad back, do not pick this option . Definitely not worth the ticket price .

4.00Our reservation was somehow deleted from their system so our tuktuk did not show up. However, I chatted with customer service and they squeezed us in for a shorter tour and also added a boat tour. Because our tour was short, we did not have time to make more than a couple stops. Our tuk tuk guide was really great-informative and personable- and we loved the few things we did see. I would give it 5 stars if not for the confusion regarding our lost reservation and had we been able to see everything. The company did the best they could.

5.00My sister and I had the best experience seeing Budapest on the tuk tuk. Greg our tour guide had the best way of explaining about all the sights. We learned so much more about the history of Budapest. He took us to everything we wanted to see and more hidden gems we didnt know about. We felt overjoyed and happy with our day. Budapest is stunning! But Greg made it more alive and special. We highly recommend. Thx Greg for going above and beyond.

5.00Robert and Greg picked us up right on the river by our viking ship and we had a wonderful 2.5 hours cruising around town and seeing important sites. We went up to the Citadeli which had a wonderful view of the whole area. This landmark had just opened this week and the guides had only been up to this new area once. It was a beautiful, sunny day . The guides were kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our trip very much.
