What To Expect
Built in 1520 by the O’Hynes clan on the picturesque shores of Galway Bay, Dunguire Castle is a restored 16th century tower house which sits on a rocky outcrop on the shores of Galway Bay. Going up and down from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher takes around 4h without stopping.

5.00Bogdan M.’s tour of Galway: We drove along the Burren with stops at Mainistir Chorca Mrua (Corcomroe Abbey) with many ancient tombs and Poulnabrone, an interesting ancient (Neolithic) portal tomb site. After lunch in Lisdoonvara (The Matchmaking Capital) we visited the 6th century Newtown Castle. Then on to hike up and down the Cliffs of Moher which were very impressive and interesting. Bogdan was very knowledgeable and related a lot of history of this part of Ireland. A long but informative and interesting day.

5.00We left Galway to visit a couple of castles (Dungaire and Newtown), the Cliffs of Moher, Caherconnell Sheepdog demonstration and Poulnabrone Dolmen. The highlight and focus of the tour was the Cliffs of Moher. You should plan on staying for at least an hour to take in the best views and visit the information center. Our guide was very receptive to our party of 4 needs and made multiple extra stops for photos and restroom breaks,

5.00DC was an outstanding guide! He did such an amazing job of personalizing our experience to meet the needs of 3 generations, including an urgent restroom stop when needed. His commentary and tips made the day so much more interesting and informative, and was such a welcome change from the generic cruise line excursions we had previously experienced. He even added a few special stops for the children (and had booster seats ready!). His lunch suggestions were excellent. We all keep talking about the wonderful time we had in Galway.

5.00We enjoyed our private tour with Sorin. The pickup at the Galway train station was easy and he had our names printed to make it easy to find him. The Mercedes was clean and comfortable. He was very knowledgeable about Galway, Poulnaborne tomb, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher and Irish history as well. We had a great pub lunch in Doolin that he recommended. We skipped the chocolate and perfume store as we more interested in seeing the countryside. Our hotel recommended them and we would definitely use this company again next time we are in Ireland.

5.00Private tour with Bogdan was incredible -castle, sheep, chocolates, Cliffs of Maher, art gallery at a quaint art college, little cliffs, beach, history, humor, delicious lunch, fascinating stone walls and unique landscapes - it’s Burren and Cliffs of Maher and a whole lot more!! Culturally distinct at the perfect pace. And the transport was great - comfy seats plus so many different sites and experiences in one day …ages 23-62 loved it!!

5.00Bogdan conveniently picked us up right the entrance of our VRBO location promptly and took us on an unforgettable experience. He was a wealth of knowledge and was a joy to spend the day with. The trip can be catered to your interest, and you set the pace of the day. We were thankful to not be driving on the narrow, curvy roads and also that we were not on a bus full of other tourists. It allowed us to have a more intimate experience viewing Castles, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, and the “Wild Atlantic.” Many stops were those that larger bus tours could not accommodate. Even our 13 and 16 year old sons said it was one of the best experiences in all of our travels!
