Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Two completely different worlds. One private day from Beirut — with all entrance tickets included so there is nothing to think about except the experience itself.
Start your morning in Byblos — one of the oldest cities ever built, where a Crusader castle, Phoenician royal tombs, and Roman columns coexist within a single archaeological site inhabited for over 7,000 years. The early morning visit means you have the ancient stones almost entirely to yourself — the light is golden, the crowds have not arrived, and the city feels exactly as extraordinary as it is. Then head east through the Lebanese mountains into the Bekaa Valley and arrive at Baalbek — where the Temple of Bacchus alone is larger than the Parthenon, and the stones beneath the Temple of Jupiter are the heaviest ever used in construction in human history.
From the world's oldest city to the world's greatest Roman temples — all tickets included, all entirely private.

Beirut
8:30 AM — Departure from Beirut Your private guide and driver collect you from your Beirut hotel and head north along the coast — Byblos is 45 minutes away and best experienced early, before the day warms up and the crowds arrive.
Byblos Castle
Arrive in Byblos in the morning quiet — the best possible time to experience a city this old. The Crusader castle was built in the 12th century from stones recycled from Phoenician temples and Roman buildings — you can read entire civilisations in its walls if you know what to look for. Inside, the archaeological site opens up like a layered book: Neolithic foundations from 5000 BC, Bronze Age temples, Phoenician royal tombs carved into the bedrock, Persian-era remains, Roman colonnaded streets. Byblos gave the world its alphabet — the Phoenician script developed here became the foundation of Greek, Latin, Arabic, and every modern alphabet descended from them. Its name gave us the word Bible. Your guide reads every layer of this extraordinary site aloud.

This was an excellent tour and I highly recommend everyone in Beirut to do this! We had the most comprehensive explanation and Rita tailored the entire experience to our preference. We had a fabulous time with Rita & Naser. Our Lebanon experience wouldn’t have been the same without them!

What an amazing and enjoyable day with my guide Rita. She was a wealth of knowledge and ensured that all of my questions were answered. She and our excellent driver made the day so comfortable. The archeological sites at Byblos and Baalbek are simply stunning.

Hassan was our amazing tour guide, who took us to Byblos and Baalbek. We had a different to a guide that took us around Baalbek. He was so full of knowledge. And he was hilarious. Great guy. Lebanon and its culture and heritage is a must see. Such a fantastic country. I when we went, there was no banking and no power. You would think this would stop the country. But not at all. Everybody uses generators. Be thoughtful about what times the generators are on in the apartment building where you’re staying. With the banking, take cash with you. Exchange your US dollars to Lebanese pounds while you were there. And make sure you don’t leave the country with any Lebanese pounds. The food in Lebanon is amazing. The Lebanese bread, the hummus and the goats cheese were the best. I think it’s my favourite country for eating local food.

I can highly recommend Lebanon Tours and Travels. Our driver Hassane was amazing. He was extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and it was lovely to spend 2 days with him. The guides he organised at both Baalbek and Byblos were very knowledgeable and passionate. He's also a great driver which helps :) And he finds the best places for lunch, snacks and fruit.

Group of 8, we decided to hire a van and a driver to take us around Lebenon for 7 days. Our lovely English speaking driver Albert was very friendly and accommodating. We all had different needs, changed plans and he was super flexible. On departures needed Covid test, he took us to drive through, get everything arranged and next day he picked up the results before dropping us to Airport. Best experience made a trip seamless. Thank you.
