Budapest is situated on the banks of the Danube. The river splits the city into two halves: Pest, which is completely flat, and Buda, which is hilly.
Main sights in Pest: Central Market Hall, National Museum, Great Synagogue, Geological Institute, City Park (Széchenyi Thermal Bath), Heroes' Square, Andrássy Avenue, State Opera House, St. Stephen's Basilica, Parliament Main sights in Buda: Castle District (included former Royal Palace, Matthias Church, Fishermen's Bastion), Gellért Hill (Statue of Freedom), Gellért Thermal Hotel and Spa Between the two sides we have the beautiful and impressive Chain Bridge, Elisabeth Bridge and Liberty Bridge. On a 4 hour tour you can get a general overview about our wonderful capital. A full day tour (7 hours) is more detailed and you'll have longer time to explore all of the sights.

Great tour for a first day in Budapest

5.00This was a really good tour, perfect for a first day in Budapest if you want to get the lay of the city. Our tour guide was Zoltan, and he was great - very knowledgeable, well informed and nice. Also, the van he drove us around in was super comfortable and in great condition. We would 1000% recommend his services.

5.00Zoltan is incredible. My wife and I came in early for the Viking Danube Cruise and wanted our own tour of the city. This was the best decision of the trip. He showed up on time, picked us up and drove us to all the sites, parked and walked with us giving a full history of the location and where to take the best pictures. Having lived in and around Budapest for so long, he has a perspective you can’t get on a Viking tour. If you are considering just doing a Panoramic tour from Viking….don’t waste your time, hire Zoltan and truly experience the city. He’s been doing this for 20 years and we felt lucky to have found him.

5.00Zaltan was amazing! We were on a Christmas cruise and none of the Viking excursions could compare to what he offered us! He was so accommodating for my mom who is a bit slower. He was incredibly knowledgeable, a safe driver and hit all the places we wanted to see! I would recommend this to anyone going to Budapest!

3.00We were giving a new tour guide and smaller vehicle than was described. The tour guide complained alot about traffic. She had a wealth of knowledge on the history of Hungary.
