What To Expect
Iglesia de San Francisco
Built between the 16th and 18th centuries, and the first catholic cathedral of La Paz, this is one of the oldest buildings in the city. It’s conveniently located on Sagárnaga Street, close to a host of tourist hotspots, so you have no excuse. You'll be able to visit the church and get a lot of explanation.
Valley of the Moon
Away from the tumults of La Paz’s urban life, the valley of the moon is not a real valley, but a whole of strange geological formations, fairies, or snakes’ chimneys, leading to special shapes.

Great Way to See Moon Valley and Entire City in Half a Day

5.00We saw Moon Valley and the entire city. Moon Valley was interesting but small. It does not take much time to see, and our guide spent the appropriate amount of time there. Then we went all around the city using the cable cars which was fun and gave us a great view of the city. It was the day of a large market, so our guide let us spend a little time walking around the market. It was similar to a flea market at home, but much larger. Overall, we learned a lot about the city and got a good feel for the people that live there. I highly recommend this tour. We made one quick stop at a local artist's store which was wonderful, and there was no pressure to buy. We also stopped into one store at the witches' market which was also really neat because the store owner blessed some things I bought there.

5.00Milena is an exceptionally good guide. She is helpful, polite, and patient, like most guides. What sets her apart is her vast knowledge of every place we visited. I have had too many guides who say almost nothing except the logistical stuff (e.g., about bathroom breaks). She answered numerous questions outside the scope of the tour. On my recent travels, I went on ten tours. Milena was by far the best guide of all of them. Another thing we liked is that the tour took us to parts of La Paz that we would have not otherwise seen.
