The BEST day. I almost didn’t book this tour because it’s a very long day with a higher price than group tours. But I am so grateful I did. Our guide Marcelo and driver Juan Carlos were prompt, kind and professional. We saw and learned so much. The Colca Valley and canyon are stunning this time of year with flowers everywhere. Plus, we saw 12 condors. Being on a private tour meant that we could linger at the best view points and then leave in our comfortable van when a huge, crowded tour bus showed up. The food was excellent, especially the lunch! I loved getting to try new things like the cactus fruit and quinoa pineapple breakfast drink. Yes, we were exhausted by the end but the experience and everything we saw was worth it.
