What To Expect
Cotopaxi National Park
7:20 Departure to Cotopaxi National Park. We stop for 30 min and you can enjoy the view and take some nice pics there. (Cotopaxi It´s a perfectly symmetrical cone, covered in a thick blanket of snow and ice, the Cotopaxi is one of the tourist highlights in Ecuador and it’s most visited and climbed volcano).
10:30am Departure to Quilotoa Loop. We stop for 30 min and you can enjoy the view and take some nice pics there. (IIt´s a water-filled caldera, was formed by the collapse of this dacite volcano following a catastrophic VEI-6 eruption about 800 years ago).

5.00My dad and I had the best time visiting Cotopaxi Nationalpark and the Quilotoa Loop. The view and the hiking was really diversified and totally worth the effort and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Ecuador. Luckily our tour guide Alejandro was really nice and had a huge knowledge not only on the history of Cotopaxi but also the indigenous people and their language. We had a lots of fun and such a great time together, these two days will hold a special place in our memory on our first trip to Ecuador!
