The current railway bridge was inaugurated on 24 June 1992. It is written by a Portuguese Engineer - Edgar Cardoso. The next tower was built by the same Engineer at the height of the bridge to study the progress of the work.

Cruising the Douro with good friends! !

5.00Despite the weather, this cruise was excellent! It felt like we were cruising with our friends. Susanna and Sergio did a terrific job with wonderful wine, charcuterie, and a great cruise down the Douro river, including good conversation! Definitely book this trip worth it! The boat was immaculate!

5.00Susana and Sergio were the perfect hosts. The weather might not have been brilliant but that didn't matter because we loved the experience. The wine was great, the food was awesome and the company was terrific. Very highly recommended.

5.00Suzanna and Serg were awesome. So welcoming on their boat. Loved the wine and snacks. View was awesome from the river and we loved going under all the bridges out to the wall. Thank you for a wonderful experience

5.00We,really enjoyed the trip with Sergio and Sussanah. We had a private motorboat all to ourself and a 2 hour journey past all the bridges to the ocean and back with Susannah giving interesting explanations. The front of the boat had fitted cushioning where we lay out and enjoyed the sun view and music. There was also lovely generous charcuterie cheeses crackers chips and fresh strawberries along with a choice of wines and a port to finish. We really really enjoyed it thanks!

5.00What an amazing experience! Picking a river cruise can feel daunting, but Susanna and Serge made it easy — they’re friendly, full of local insight, and clearly love what they do. Seeing the city from the river gives you a whole new appreciation for it. I’d highly recommend this to anyone!

5.00Good wine, good food and good company! We had rainy weather that day but we still made the most of our time on the boat. Susana and Sergio offered to refund us because of the weather but we decided to go ahead with our trip and we’re so happy we did. They really took care of us. You can tell they care about their guests and the experiences they have.
