What To Expect
Malaiesti
The Mălăiești Cottage or Cabin is situated in the Bucegi Natural Park, which has become a protected natural area back in 2000. It’s a mountainous area with lots of caves, pits, ridges, canyons, forests, valleys and even waterfalls. Here, nature has been more than generous with hay meadows, limestone rocky slopes and alpine rivers. This area is a delight for tourists all over the world, and it’s one that people hardly forget. It’s also called “Romania’s Touristic Cradle”, with over 15 peaks, rising high and proudly gazing over the horizon. The Mălăiești cabin is one of the most well-known and loved mountain cottages in the Bucegi Natural Park. It is situated in the Mălăiești Valley, which some locals call “The Valley of Stars”. This is because the night sky in the summertime is extremely clear and many stars can be observed.

5.00My wife and I are avid backpackers and outdoors people, with years of experience in the outdoors. We've temporarily moved to Romania and, knowing little about the nature in the area, we thought it would be a good idea to go out with a guide for our first trip. Sorin was absolutely wonderful. He gave us pointers, tips, background information, and histories. He was kind, patient, and knowledgable. He is a capable outdoorsman and was a pleasure to spend the day with. If you're trying to decide whether to book a trip, just do it.

5.00This is a great hike and the setting is just really unique. From the fact that you are in a glacier valley to the great views, it is impressive and wonderful tour. This was a Private tour which made it much more enjoyable. Couldn’t have asked for a better day hike! Ramona was very well prepared, accommodating and fun to hang out with. We made multiple stops throughout the tour and had the opportunity to explore the area around Malaiesti cottage. Would definitely recommend this to all who are visiting Bucegi Mountains.
