Fantastic tour with Rick. He picked us up and took us to the cable car station. It was a beautiful day 8am and the visibility was amazing with the Cotapaxi volcano sight. Admission was discounted for seniors (had to show proof)). Very reasonable. Rick helped us with altitude adjustment by yoga breathing. The Intiman museum was very educational. I enjoyed that a lot. After that we went to Mitad del Mundo for pictures. The length of the tour was just right. Rick is also a careful driver. Very knowledgeable and engaging and a great photographer as well. Highly recommend this tour.

Ricky did an amazing job showing me around Quito! He took amazing pictures for me and made the experience informative and special. In just a few hours he left me with such a good impression of Ecuador I want to come back to spend a longer time here. 10/10 experience. He also showed me where the BEST empanadas were!!

We spent the entire day with Rickie touring the old town area and middle of the world monument and we had a wonderful day!! His knowledge of history and facts was outstanding and he presented them with a smile on his face the entire time. It was like spending 8 hours with a friend. Highly recommend him as your guy for any and all excursions you do in and around Quito. We booked him for our Mindo day next week already!!

Pamela was such a great guide! Quito is a beautiful city, but being shown around by a knowledgeable local made all the difference. The tour felt very thoughtfully planned, and Pamela was incredibly flexible and accommodating to what we were interested in, even adjusting along the way to make sure we still had a great experience when the weather wasn’t cooperating. Because the tour isn’t run through a large company, it felt very personal and intentional, which really reinforced how much effort and care Pamela puts into creating a meaningful experience. It was especially helpful all transportation was taken care of! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Quito.

Pamela and Ricky are experts in the region. They will cater the tour to your exact wants and also offer explorations that may be of interest. In Mindo, we hiked in the forest to waterfalls. Later had lunch at a healthy café, then a tour of a small chocolatier where I learned the small batch process of making chocolate. I consumed the best hot chocolate ever. We finished with visiting a hummingbird sanctuary. The many varieties of hummingbirds were drinking out of my hand, literally. Pamela and Ricky are a great source of information about the area. I did not know there were 99 volcanoes with 27 active in Ecuador. They have many many more facts of interest. I would not hesitate to book them again should I return to the Ecuador area. Another interesting fact is Ricky lived in an area of the Amazon for five years. He can take tours there also.

Our first day in Quito, Ecuador, was made truly memorable thanks to this outstanding private tour. After arriving late the previous night, we appreciated the flexibility when the team accommodated our request to shift the start time back by 45 minutes. With just our small group of three, it felt personalized and unhurried from the beginning. The itinerary perfectly showcased Quito’s historic and natural wonders. We started at the stunning Basílica del Voto Nacional, the largest neo-Gothic church in the Americas, where we climbed to the towers for breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Next, we explored the UNESCO-listed Historic Center (Old Town), wandering its charming colonial streets, visiting government buildings around Plaza de la Independencia, and enjoying coffee in the vibrant main square. The highlight was riding the TelefériQo cable car up Pichincha Volcano for a short hike at the top. The weather was perfect with clear skies, offering incredible vistas of Quito sprawled below and distant volcanoes, including the majestic Cotopaxi. We made a fun stop for fresh mangoes before lunch at a delightful empanada spot – as vegetarians, we loved the variety of tasty options available. The day wrapped up at Mitad del Mundo, the iconic equator monument, where we posed for classic photos straddling the line between hemispheres. What elevated this tour from great to exceptional was our guide, Ricky. He shared profound insights into Ecuador’s history, culture, and the significance of each site, deepening our appreciation for this beautiful country immensely. Beyond the knowledge, Ricky’s attentiveness stood out – he ensured our comfort throughout, from helping with restroom breaks to watching our safety on climbs (preventing any slips!), and thoughtfully taking professional photos of us at the best spots so we could fully enjoy the moments without fumbling for selfies. These small, thoughtful touches made a huge difference and truly set the experience apart.
