Located in the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, Petrohué River delights with its rapids. After a violent eruption of the Osorno Volcano, basaltic material gave rise to this attraction that runs through the evergreen forest.
The Osorno Volcano is part of National Park and its height is 2650 meters. A complete panoramic view of Lake Llanquihue Lake and part of the Andes is possible in a sunny day. The vehicle reaches an altitude of 1,200 meters on asphalted road where there is a cafeteria and ski center. In addition, it is possible to reach 1400 meters by liftchairs.
Puerto Varas is considered the tourist capital of southern Chile. The peaceful life of streets, visitors and locals enjoy the beautiful view and its surroundings. Influenced by the German colonization and the perfect fusion with Spaniards and Chileans, they transform it into one of the most attractive cities of our region.

This was a great private tour. The stops were all wonderful. Our driver/ guide, Luis, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He customized the itinerary to fit our interests. He even worked in a stop at the local mall so that we could visit a specialty yarn store. It was everything we expected and more.

This was a great tour. Our guide timed it so we beat all the shore excursion buses to the falls and volcano. Janice was very attentive and accommodating. Our only issue was that sometimes her English was a bit hard to decipher. I’m sure it was our fault and not hers

It's difficult to rate this tour because bad weather stopped us from seeing the top sites. The road to Petrohue Waterfalls was blocked off due to rain damage and the Osorno Volcano was closed due to the rain and winds. Sometimes these unexpected things happen when traveling and I can't fault the tour company for that. Our guide gave us heavy ponchos and we were able to do a short hike in the rain to one of the park lakes. Later, he did the best he could under the circumstances by driving us around Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt since we missed the scheduled sites.

We ordered a German-speaking tour guide but did not get it. No compensation received! We had to make do with Spanish, because English is not possible with my partner. Excursion should be adjusted in bad weather. Instead of volcano Osorno possibly Frutillar or longer in Puerto Varas and / or additionally Puerto Montt

Claudio provided my wife and I a fantastic tour of Petrohué falls and Osorno volcano. We able to take the ski lift up the volcano. Claudio was extremely conscientious and cautious navigating the winding road to the volcano and we were comfortable during the entire experience.

Five stars are not enough for this tour. It has been a real pleasure to spend the day with Marcelo in the stunning nature around the Osorno volcano. In the end he took us to a restaurant with local specialties on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. Your friendly company and deep knowledge of the country and its people made this tour unforgettable and the best of the whole trip.

My husband and I were on a cruise, and rather than take the overpriced and overcrowded cruise ship tour of Petruhe Falls and the Osorno volcano, we booked this one through Viator. Our tour guide was Miguel, and he was wonderful. He was extremely informative about the features and history of the area, and took care to make sure that we were happy and comfortable throughout the outing. Here are some facts about the outing that you might want to know. The drive from Puerto Montt to Puerto Veras is about 20 minutes. From there to the falls, the drive is at least 45 minutes. The falls are not falls, but rather an impressive expanse of rapids running through an amazing lava-based landscape. After a visit and a walk through the park, Miguel took us to the Osorno ski base, where one can get a view of the volcano if the weather is clear, and where one can walk around and explore a bit. This drive took around half an hour on winding roads. Then, we went back to Puerto Veras, where we had lunch with Miguel in a lovely local restaurant. And then, back to our ship. Cruise passengers are not allowed to bring food from their ship on shore. The authorities are very strict about this. So it is helpful that this tour allows for you to buy lunch during your tour. Also note that bathrooms were widely available. We really enjoyed our day with Miguel. His English is excellent and his knowledge of the area is exceptional.

Despite some rainy weather, this was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide and driver Miguel was very knowledgeable and experienced. He shared a lot of Chilean history as well as culture. He was also very effective in getting us to the waterfalls before the big tour buses arrived. Then we were very fortunate that the sun appeared when we got to the volcano viewing point. Had a fabulous buffet lunch. Unfortunately because it was Sunday & raining we skipped any stops in Puerto Varas.
