Audi Forum Ingolstadt

The Audi Museum in Ingolstadt is an important stop on your private day trip. Opened in 2000, the museum's imaginative circular glass and steel building is a perfect example of 21st century modern architecture. As well as documenting the history of the Audi brand to the present day, it also houses an exclusive car showroom. The tour starts on the third floor and is divided into different time periods from 1899 to the present day. The museum houses more than 100 cars and motorcycles from all periods of the brand's history, as well as many practical multimedia aids. A unique feature is the paternoster (an open lift in constant motion), with vehicles on platforms that rotate from the upper to the lower level. Augsburg Town Hall

The self-image of the free imperial city of Augsburg is represented by two distinctive ornaments on the large gable on the front of the building: the first is the imperial eagle of the Holy Roman Empire, which represents the importance of the city, and the second is the large copper pine cone, or Zirbelnuss, which is the symbol of Augsburg. The interior of the town hall is also stunning, dominated by the Golden Hall with its stunningly bright gilded coffered ceiling, doors and wall frames with allegorical paintings.
