Golubac Fortress
This is the main attraction on this tour. The most beautiful fortress in Serbia. You can choose between a few zones for entrance tickets from the price of 600 RSD to 1000RSD. But the tickets for blue and black zone requires sneakers, pants, and good physical shape. Green zone is the most convenient for families.

5.00This was a very nice tour even on a miserable – cold and rainy – day. My driver, Dusan, was super professional and friendly, excellent with communications prior to the tour, and a great conversationalist. I have learned a lot from him about life and culture in Serbia, and thoroughly enjoyed our ride to and from the fortress. The Golubac Fortress is gorgeous. Inside, there is a decent exhibition about the history of the fortress and the region in general. I only wish I could climb the walls, which was not an option because of the rain. If the weather was nice, it would have been lovely to have a picnic on the riverfront enjoying fresh air and spectacular views. If you love history and beautiful views and enjoy learning new cultures, I definitely recommend this tour.

Excursion along Danube to Golubac Fortress

5.00Golubac Fortress is huge and well preserved, including a museum on its history. It has never been taken by the enemy forces. A real must-see! As we went there on a Saturday, there was a little crowd, but we didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes. On the way, we also saw Ram fortress (which is smaller than Golubac, but worthwhile visiting) and the Silver lake. The ride along river Danube as well as the views from Kapetan Mišin breg were spectacular, offering views across the river into Romanian territory. On the way back, we enjoyed an exquisite dinner in a cozy restaurant near Golubac, which specializes in roasted lamb.
