Mazunte

Playa Mazunte, located along the Oaxacan coast in Mexico, is a peaceful and beautiful destination that blends nature, culture, and relaxation. 1. Visit the National Mexican Turtle Center (Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga) Mazunte is known for its sea turtle conservation efforts. The turtle center offers educational exhibits, and you can learn about different species of turtles, their life cycles, and the conservation work being done. Depending on the season, you might even get to witness baby turtles being released into the sea. Available Wednesday- Sunday. 2. Hike to Punta Cometa Punta Cometa is a stunning viewpoint just a short hike from Mazunte. From here, you’ll get incredible panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. It’s especially popular at sunset for the beautiful vistas. The hike is relatively easy and takes around 30 minutes.
