What To Expect
Provesende
Visit Provesende, one of the Douro Valley’s most distinctive wine villages. Enjoy a gentle walk through the village, passing manor houses, the parish church, the historic pillory and traditional streets that reveal a quieter and more authentic side of the region. When possible, the route may also include a stop or passage by a traditional bakery where bread is still baked in a wood-fired oven.
Casal de Loivos
Stop at one of the Douro Valley’s most famous viewpoints. From Casal de Loivos, admire sweeping views over the terraced vineyards, the Douro River and the surrounding hills — one of the most memorable photo moments of the day.

5.00Carlos. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carlos and Endless Weekend Tours. Without hyperbole if I could given them 10 stars I would. He picked us up in Peso de Regua and took us out for the day.... we visited 2 wineries for a wine and port tasting respectively, plus several stunning viewpoints and the Pinhao train station with gorgeous azulejos tiles. He was kind, knowledgeable, and flexible, giving us the history and little bits of context every where we went. He even took pictures of us as the day progressed so we'd have memories. And the booking process was super easy and they were very accommodating as to the itinerary for the day, providing recommendations as to wineries.
Totally worth it if you want a custom experience without the tourist crowds!

5.00Tour was terrific. Carlos was our driver and picked us up early in a custom new Mercedes van to head out to the Douro on our custom itinerary. Thankfully, it was just me and my partner without all the tourists crowds. In working with Maria, we asked if we could visit a Quinta that we had heard and she not only called beforehand, but also arranged our visit with the owner- an absolutely wonderful experience. While coordinating additional visits to other quintas, Carlos described the history of the valley, the nuances of port wine, and gave us personal stories that allowed us to feel integrated into the culture of the region. Overall it was super worthwhile time and highly recommended.

5.00The entire experience was brilliant from start to finish! Communicating with the team to discuss our options when choosing the venues for our tours/tastings was easy, prompt, and very helpful. It was great to be able to design our day, with advice from experts. Our tour guide, Paulo, was amazing. Prompt arrival at our requested pick-up point, followed by a day of interesting insights and history of the Valley and its Quintas. Small gestures went a very long way and really made the day memorable. Paulo went out of his way to ensure we got the most out of our time, and his recommendations were all excellent. The two tastings/tours were lovely, with great wines and food to try. You will not be disappointed if you book this experience. Thank you to Paulo, and the whole team, for an unforgettable day.

5.00I truly believe that a tour guide makes a difference on a trip. I can’t say enough good things about carlos Sousa who took us through the Douro Valley. We did a river cruise and saw many breathtaking sites along the way, including the Sandman Vineyard. His recommendations for sightseeing and dining options were spot on. He had a wealth of historical knowledge which made a big difference. Not all tour guides are created equal, in my opinion he was tops.

5.00The tour was a perfect mix of sights, food, and wine. We loved every part of it. Our tourguide/ driver, Carlos, was also very accommodating. He taught us about wine, drove us around the best views of the duoro valley and even took our photos! This tour is a must try!
