Eagle’s Nest or Kehlsteinhaus, an iconic German landmark, is one of the most visited places in Germany. Kehlsteinhaus is an architectural masterpiece with fantastic views. It’s known as Hitler’s infamous mountain home at the top of Kehlstein Mountain in the middle of Germany’s Bavarian Alps near the alpine town of Berchtesgaden. The Eagle's Nest is open in summer only, from mid-May to the end of October. To ensure it will be open for your visit and get tickets beforehand, please check the website: The stop is for 3 hours. The rest of the time is for transportation.

We had a wonderful experience with our drive from Salzburg to Munich. Our driver, Pavel Sroba, greeted us with a smile and spoke excellent English. He provided us with printed materials about Eagle’s Nest, which was very helpful as our itinerary was jam-packed and we hadn’t had time to do much reading about it. He drove safely and made sure to let us know our options regarding stops along the way. He also helped us figure out the process for catching a bus to the top of the mountain where the Eagle’s Nest sits. We highly recommend Pavel and Europe Journey for a safe, comfortable ride with a kind and knowledgeable tour guide.

Exceeded expectations! Booked at the last minute because of a mistake that I made with a different Eagle’s Nest tour. This worked out even better and we were able to visit Kehlsteinhaus and Lake Konigssee on our way to Munich for the Wiesen. Martin our driver was fantastic and the day was relaxed and enriching!
