Chance was a gracious and welcoming host on a private tour to Sokcho (on the East Sea) and to Seoraksan. Chance shared many insights into Korean culture, history and food – I learned so much and had wonderful time! In Sokcho, we visited the lighthouse and local markets, and then traveled to Seoraksan. Although we didn’t take the cable car at Seoraksan due to fog, we took a nice walk on the park trails and explored the grounds of the Sinheungsa Temple. If you are interested in exploring Korea beyond Seoul, I can highly recommend Chance as a guide – he is very passionate about his country and is well-versed in both Korean and global current affairs. I greatly enjoyed our discussions and it was interesting to learn about the different regions of Korea and current issues in Korea from a local perspective.
