Ephesus used to be one of the most important Roman cities; nowdays its ruins are among the most visited ancient sites in the world and one of the highlight attractions in Turkey. Once home to 250 000 people, important trade and pilgrimage center, today it is visited by 2 million tourists every year. We usually spend about 2 hours in Ephesus, and the highlights of the site are: Terrace Houses (houses of rich Ephesians), Library of Celsus (the 3rd largest library in the ancient world), Grand Theater (mentioned in Bible, place where Apostle Paul preached), Temple of Hadrian, Trajan fountain. . . After you visit Ephesus, depending on your interests and available time, you can visit other sites in the area: Ephesus indoor Museum, House of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, Basilica of St. John… We usually spend 30-45 minutes in each additional site.
You hire a guide with van and driver for all day. You can choose your itinerary, depending on your interests, mood and available time.

What To Expect
Ephesus Ancient City
Your guide will meet you in Kusadasi port; there is 20 minutes driving to Ephesus area. We will first visit Ephesus (we usually spend about 2 hours there); afterwards, depending on your interests and available time, you can have lunch and then visit other sites in the area: House of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, Basilica of St. John, Ephesus indoor Museum… This is a private tour so you can decide about the itinerary. We do not limit your time for sightseeing. At the end of the tour we will drop you off to Kusadasi port.

5.00Great value. We visited Ephesus which was outstanding as well as the Temple of Artemis. Then went to a rug school where we participated in the process. Our guide hosted lunch at a great restaurant after which we traveled to a small village in the hills where we tasted wine and olive oil and we met and talked with small shopowners. I cant say enough good things about our guide, Utum. He was very knowledgable and articulate, and most personable. Through his efforts we had our best day in Turkey

5.00The tour was perfect, Ozgur (Ozzie) was fantastic, he picked up our party of 6 from the port, introduced himself and ushered us to a very comfortable van. We went to Ephesus and he supplied water and a very informative, interesting and detailed history/walk through. As an archaeologically trained person his insight was second to none. Highly recommend this tour company.

5.00Umut was our tour guide for the day. We went to the ancient city, Umut talked us through the whole site and pointed out the different ruins, amazing. We also toured a rug and leather factory. Really fun experience and packed in a lot during our short stay over.

5.00I must say that our experience in the 15-day private tour with Ertunga Ecir was excellent. Ertunga was exceptional. He is very knowledgeable of all the history and best places in Turkey. The historical places he took them were simply amazing. He even took us to some not-so-known but no-less great places the tour schedule did not were scheduled. We were very satisfied of all the hotels were included in the tour. All the hotels included full breakfast and many dinners as well. He took us to great little restaurants (also included daily) to got to enjoy and learn of the wonderful Turkish food. He simply went his way to make sure we had an unforgettable vacation. I must also say that his whole team did a great job. From the diver, always polite and cautious while driving, to his wife Maria, who showed up at the hotel when we near her area, to see us and say hello. 5.00We visited Ephesus as part of a private 8-day Bible Lands tour organised by Ertunga Ecir. What a fabulous tour! It ran seamlessly, it was so comprehensive, our guide, Umut, was knowledgeable and personable and so attentive to us. The accommodation and meals were first rate and the value incredible. I could not fault this tour and would highly recommend this company for travel in Turkey. Ertunga was always available and quickly responded to any questions we had, both in the preparation of the tour and throughout it. We had the best time! It was stress-free and we learned so much.

5.00My husband and I just returned from an 18 day private car tour along the western and southern coast, central regions and Istanbul. We are still in awe trying to process all that we've seen. It was a phenomenal trip from start to finish. Ertunga and Maria were helpful in setting up an itinerary which took into consideration a hiking request, as well as a visit to a small village that my daughter had recommended. They were very patient with us as we had to sort out potential flight issues before our arrival. We were fortunate to have Volkan as our guide. We truly believe that he is the gold standard guide: warm, respectful, attentive, intelligent, and knowledgeable, especially in the historical department! And it was an added bonus to have him, a musician, select music for us during the ride, and to have his artistic input in taking photos and videos of us during the trip. Sebo, our driver, was careful and skillful and we appreciated the extra side trip to the shopping mall so that I could purchase hiking shoes which I forgot to pack. The itinerary was perfect with the right mix of rural and urban, sea and mountains, history and culture. All of the hotels were carefully chosen and we loved the variety in each place. We were not expecting to have such a newfound love for Turkey and its people, and it is through our experiences with this wonderful travel company that has allowed this to occur. Thank you so much for giving us this beautiful experience.
