What To Expect
Head to Petrohue river which flows out to the Reloncavi estuary. Meet the horses. Will Ride to the look out for the best view of the estuary where we will dismount and relax. Return back through a different way Difficulty level: Easy. Terrain, hilly, open ground and single trails for horses only. Private vehicle leaving from Puerto Varas. Bring: Warm clothes according to weather and time of the year. Comfortable and not too tight pants adequate for horse riding, trekking shoes, rain jacket, sun and skin protection (sunglasses, hat) small bag for carrying camera and personal items. Safety:Emergency equipment and first aid kit. horses for different riders’ ability. Waterproof poncho in case of rain. Difficulty level: Easy. 5.00We absolutely loved this experience - Maria was very knowledgeable about the area and was even able to give us some great restaurant recommendations for later that evening. The horses were well trained and we all felt super comfortable riding them. 10/10 experience- would recommend

5.00My husband and I had a wonderful time horseback riding witb Maria! Our day started at 9 am when she picked us up in Puerta Varas at our hotel. We then drove an hour or so and met the horses along with another rider who works with Maria (Marcos). We went on a lovely ride through a forest and fields to a beautiful lookout of the estuary and volcano where we dismounted and had snacks. For the second half of the ride we had the option of going downhill and closer to the beach, which we did, and that was also very pretty! The horses were relaxed and tame; I ride regularly though it was my husband’s second time ever and he really enjoyed it. And Maria was a fantastic guide; she was so friendly and personable, sharing about the area and her experience with horses and other guided trips. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in riding in the area.

5.00Wonderful day with Maria (who speaks English, Italian & Spanish) great horses, magnificent scenery, perfect day in the saddle. Was licked up at 9 am at hotel and drove for 90 minutes or so through spectacular scenery alongside the lake. Rode up to lookout through forest surrounded by snow-capped volcanoes and then down the mountain to ride alongside an estuary growing mussels and salmon. Mario accompanied us and helped open gates and look after the horses who were all in great condition - quiet but alert, fully shod, comfortable saddles and fun to ride. Scenery is amazing and so tranquil and relaxing - got back to hotel in Puerto Varas ~ 4 pm - wonderful experience
