What To Expect
Kummakivi Boulder
Kummakivi is a large balancing rock in Ruokolahti, Finland. A remnant from the last ice age, the 7-meter long boulder lies on a convex bedrock surface with a very small footprint but so firmly that it cannot be rocked with human force. Kummakivi has been protected since 1962. A pine tree originating from the 1980s grows on top of the boulder. Duration includes 1hr driving time to location.
Olavinlinna Castle
Olavinlinna Castle is one of the best-known sights in Finland. Olavinlinna is a 15th-century three-tower castle located in Savonlinna, Finland. It is built on an island in the Kyrönsalmi Strait that connects the lakes Haukivesi and Pihlajavesi. It is the northernmost medieval stone fortress still standing. Duration includes drive to Castle and break for lunch.

A Perfect Day with Nilesh: Scenic Sights, Local Insights & Thoughtful Touches on a Private Tour

5.00The most amazing way to spend a day! Nilesh was so welcoming and personable that the day unfolded like a wonderful journey with a favourite uncle. Not only did we visit Kumma Kivi (a natural wonder) and an the old castle Olavinlinna, but Nilesh took us to a number of gorgeous lakes and other scenic spots. His passion and knowledge for nature and land shines through during the day. And a big bonus was his wealth of experience in travelling throughout Europe which he freely shared with us, allowing us to better plan the next stage of our holiday. In addition to the informative tour, Nilesh took professional photos of us which I thought was a thoughtful touch, capturing our family in natural moments instead of just doing selfies. I can't recommend this tour highly enough, and encourage others to enjoy the freedom a private tour offers.
