Volubilis
Volubilis is the remnant of a Roman city built on the former site of a Punic-Berber city, which was the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania, located in the Saïss plain, in northern Morocco, on the edge of the wadi Rhoumane, a river in the suburbs of Meknes. It is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Moulay Idriss
Moulay Driss Zerhoun It is famous for being the site of the tomb of Idris I, the first great Islamic ruler of Morocco, after whom the city is named.

5.00Despite some periodic heavy rain, this was a great trip. Badr was an excellent driver who made sure that I understood the ins and outs of visiting the Volubilis ruins, the village of Moulay Idriss, and the city of Meknes. Badr was well-versed in English, and an engaging conversationalist. The highlights of the trip for me were the vast and picturesque ruins of Volubilis, and the gorgeous mausoleum of Moulay Isma’il in Meknes. A thoroughly interesting and enjoyable excursion.
