This fully private experience allows you to dive at your own pace. With our highly trained and certified instructors, we keep the experience personalized while maintaining a high level of service.

Because there is no strict time limit, the program can be adjusted for more nervous participants or those who are feeling more adventurous.

Dive sites are selected based on the best ocean conditions of the day. Guests with their own transportation can coordinate the dive site with their instructor. For guests using our pickup service, the instructor will select the most suitable location.

You’ll have the experience of a lifetime, while we keep it safe!

What To Expect

Discover the underwater world of Aruba with this beginner friendly, private scuba diving experience. The Scuba Discovery program is perfect for first time divers and participants who are not certified. No previous diving experience is required and your instructor will guide you step by step. Your experience begins with a safety briefing on land, which takes about 20 minutes. We explain the dive plan, how the equipment works, and important safety guidelines. After the briefing it is time to enter shallow water to practice and get comfortable with the equipment. You will complete a few simple exercises before the dive. Once everyone is comfortable, we head out for the real dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet (12 meters). During the dive you may see coral reef, tropical fish, and depending on the dive site possibly turtles or a shipwreck. Dive sites are selected based on the best ocean conditions of the day. Guests with their own transportation can coordinate the dive site with their instructor. For guests using our pickup service, the instructor will select the most suitable location.

We were so nervous to scuba dive for the first time and Alan was so patient and made us feel so comfortable. He never pushed us beyond our comfort zone and we were able to experience the underwater world in a way we have never had before while capturing amazing footage.

Private lesson: one on one experience, very relaxing, no pressure learning. 5 min shallow water skills then 10meters dive around sunken boat and nearby coral reef. Pauline is the best! Will do it with a spouse next time since no prior training required.

Our instructor, Alan, was amazing. He was able to instruct us to learn the basics. My husband had some anxiety with learning to breathe with the regulator but he was able To teach him techniques to learn to breathe normally. Got to see a turtle!!

Dive was great, saw lots of sea life and felt safe and prepared. Our instructor, Alan, was knowledgeable and informed us every step of the way. There was a miscommunication with the transportation, but was rectified.

We had a great diving experience with Pauline. After first getting used to the equipment quietly, we went deeper into the sea. When the original plan to the shipwreck didn't work out because of the pressure on my ears, we immediately went in a different direction along beautiful coral and fish. Highly recommended to see Aruba underwater with Pauline!

What a great experience to dive with my son! From the beginning we felt incredibly welcome and well guided. The instructors took the time to explain everything calmly and clearly, making us feel at ease immediately. The diving itself was really beautiful. We saw so much beauty underwater – it was almost magical. For my son it was an unforgettable experience, and as a parent it is extra special to be able to experience that together. Everything was arranged down to the last detail: safe, professional and yet also relaxed and fun. This is highly recommended for everyone, whether you are diving for the first time or already have experience. We will definitely do this again!

This was so much fun. Underdog was very communicative before the trip and responded quickly to the few questions we had. Pauline picked us up at the hotel and took us to the dive spot. It was gorgeous. She explained everything and instructed us on the equipment and what to expect. Then we got started. It was so awesome! One of my favorite excursions on a vacation yet.

AWESOME experience. Group of 3, pickup was right on time, location of the dive was fantastic. Instructor was thorough, friendly, and alleviated any fears of our first dive. Dive was incredible - around the boat & the reef. Definitely repeat next time in Aruba!
