Your local friendly guide and driver will meet you at arrival hall of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. Upon meeting, discuss with your guide and customize your tour today. As private tour, the itinerary will be 100% tailor made around you. Following is the sample itinerary, be sure to let your guide know if need make any changes. First, pay the visit to the most magnificent Chen Clan Temple /Ancestral Hall built in Qing-Dynasty,famed as “ Forbidden City in Southern China”, appreciate the amazing architecture designed with elaborate wood, brick, stone, clay, ivory carvings, enjoy seeing some of the most previous and rare collections of Silk embroidery, ceramics, painting etc. Get good learning about local culture, history and custom from your guide.
Canton Tower
Next head to Canton Tower, the world’s tallest TV tower and also the iconic building in the city. Marvel at its World-class design at the foot and the impressive mordern skycrappers along the Zhujiang New area. On a nice clear day , you may choose to go up to 433-Meter Star observation deck of the Canton Tower, take in the fantastic old and new Guangzhou skylines at 360-degree glass deck, appreciate the magnificent view along the mighty Pearl River.

5.00My father and I had a 19hr layover in Guangzhou from New Zealand, and wanted to take in some sights while we were there. From start to finish, organizing the tour with Sunny and Linda was so easy. We were picked up from our transfer hotel and escorted in a spacious van with great modern features (our seats were massage chairs!). We then picked up Linda who was kind, attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable about every place we went to and the history of Guangzhou. We specifically wanted to see the city night lights so they organized our schedule around that as well. My father has low mobility so was slow walking, but Linda made sure we still got to see the things we wanted and that he had places to sit when needed. The weather was grey with a bit of rain, and they even gave us an umbrella to use because we had not brought one with us. The driver was very good and met us on time at every place. I highly recommend booking with this tour company for a relaxed, friendly and personalised tour! Many many thanks again to your team for looking after us so well!

5.00I went to Guangzhou and Shantou with family and friends with tours, transportation and guides arranged by China Highlights.com. Their staff assigned to us, May Liu and this is third time in 2025/26 that I have used them, is as always very responsive and attentive and she understands our needs. The guides at Guangzhou and especially at Shantou were very kind and knowledgeable. Summer at Shantou helped us to locate our Clan House at Chaoyang which was awesome. 5.00We went on a trip from Amsterdam to Bali. We had a long layover in Guangzhou (11 hours) so we wanted to make the most of it and see as much as possible during our visit. This tour went beyond our expectations! Our tourguide and driver were super sweet and knew so much about the city. After the tour we felt like coming back to Guangzhou asap to do even more exploring and try more of all the amazing food we’ve enjoyed. Five stars, and recommended to anyone transiting in this beautiful city.

5.00Highly recommend this tour if you have a layover in Guangzhou. The tour guide was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Guangzhou and its history and went to some really amazing places and a really good dim sum lunch. The driver knew local traffic really well and ensured that making the departure flight was not an issue.
