Perhaps you’d like to walk parts of the Te Ara Hura round-island track. You could take in a few of our well-known theme walks such as the Double Headland Walk, Bush & Beach Walk, Vineyards & Bush Walk and Art Walk.

No matter what you choose, we will provide you with everything you need to freedom walk your chosen trails. Enjoy the flora and fauna, incredible views and peaceful vibe while experiencing the vibrant Waiheke Island community with its artists, vineyards and ambitious conservation projects.

Your accommodation is a 1, 2 or 3-bedroom apartment at Onetangi Beach Apartments (extra charge if single occupancy).

We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Gabrielle and Bruce, supported by their local restaurants and cafe's that provided beautiful food. The lovely accommodation was well located for the beach and restaurants with night sky viewing, amply stocked with provisions by Gabrielle and her team. We appreciated coming back to the same accommodation every night. The forest and coastal walks are magnificent. The walks that Gabrielle organise highlight the ongoing efforts for restoring, maintaining and protecting the forest habitate which is paying off with the beautiful birdlife and flora. Each day had a range of flexible options taylored to our interests. We highly recommend this tour.

Justine was an excellent guide who listened to our interests and made it tailor made for us. Arts, natural beauty, excellent food and wines, in-depth Maori history of the area and current living conditions. Besides being a wonderful person and guide. We fell in love with the island!

My husband and I did the self guided walk of Waiheke which was our first hike and we absolutely l loved it! We found the scenery incredibly diverse and beyond spectacular and we hope to do another walk in the near future. Our guide was a wonderful lady named Gabrielle who was informative and lovely and made sure we were looked after. The food was also delicious, nutritous and plentiful - thank you Terra and Tide!
