Teotihuacan Pyramids

See the impressive Teotihuacan Pyramids to explore the ancient site with a guide. See the Temples of Quetzalpapalotl, the Temple of the Feathered Shells, the impressive Pyramid of the Moon, and the Pyramid of the Sun, located along the long Avenue of the Dead. Admire the colorful murals and see the Mesoamerican artifacts in the Archaeological Museum as you learn more about this ancient civilization.

Mexico’s largest religious sanctuary, the Shrine houses the hallowed image of the Virgin of Guadalupe and has been a pilgrimage site since the 16th century. See the old basilica, which was completed in 1709, and visit the new church, built between 1974 and 1976, after the old church began to sink into the ground.

Our guide for this tour was Gerardo, and he was beyond amazing! He described everything so perfectly - how it was back when the temples were in use, what it looked like, how the people lived - we felt like we were back in time. He was happy to answer our many questions, and was patient and kind with our kids. After a nice walk around the pyramids, he recommended a great spot for lunch. We added on the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which was very beautiful and emotional. The whole family enjoyed the tour, and we highly recommend it!!

We were 12 of us on a private tour. From the moment we were picked up, punctually on time in a lovely van with a driver and guide to the very end of the tour the entire trip more than lived up to our expectations. The Guide, in particular, Gerardo, was extremely knowledgeable, patient with our questions and was a wealth of knowledge that catered fully to the diversity of ages in our group, from teens to Senior Citizens. It was an amazing trip and we learnt a lot on the history and culture that led to the creation of the pyramids.

A really well organized and enjoyable tour. Our guide Yuneun was outstanding - provided a lot of up to date insights about Teotihuacan and its people. The visit to the Basilica was also well done - we have been there a number of times before but found there was a lot we had not seen. Great transportation and logistics - highly recommend and well worth the $$$.

I’ve always wanted to see Teotihuacan and found this private tour was available for a great price. Our guide Yunuen was incredible. He picked us up from the hotel and was very accommodating and friendly. Yun had so much information to share and answered all of our questions with interesting responses. He made sure we saw all the important details of the buildings and surrounding areas and understood what is gleaned from the evidence provided by the site. After walking the archaeological site he took us to a restaurant with great food and fire dancers! We had so much fun. Thanks for a great day and company!

Estigo Tours was great to work with and our tour guide, Steph, was amazing! We toured Teohitucan/Basilica de Guadalupe, Centro Historico, and Frida Kahlo/Xochimilco with her. We had our four kids ranging in ages from 6-15 and she was able to keep them in engaged and/or adjust the tour length. Steph is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Our tours with Steph left us feeling CDMX with a solid understanding of Mexican history and culture. We highly recommend!

From being picked up at our apartment to the return, we enjoyed every minute. Our guide, Jorge was knowledgeable, passionate and so accomodating, we arrived home exhausted but enriched by our journey back through time with Jorges fabulous story telling. He's an accomplished anthropologist so this is right up his street and it showed. Highly recommend if you want to learn about the pyramids, the people, culture of the time and debunk some myths.

I rarely write online reviews, but our experience with Estigo Tours was excellent. Right after booking, Gonzalo contacted me to give recommendations for food, activities, and shows beyond the tour. We wound up doing several of his suggestions. We actually booked two (different) tours on consecutive days, and our guide each time was Gerardo, who was super knowledgeable and considerate, and the tours were so thorough. Visiting Teotihuacán and adding the optional stop at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe were amazing experiences. Two anecdotes to share: 1) when we pulled up to the entrance to Teotihuacan, we had to wait for the gate to be opened. Nearby, a tourist boy with his family was vomiting. Gerardo immediately grabbed a package of tissues from his bag, got out, and gave it to the family, and got back in the car. I was struck by his immediate response to be kind and generous. 2) there was a planned demonstration to block the highways on the day of our trip, and the company reached out to adjust our timing in hopes of avoiding it. During the day, Gerardo and the team worked together to find alternate routes so we could still enjoy the experience. Their quick thinking saved the day for us, and I’m grateful. 10/10 recommend

Our trip to Teotihuacan was a five star experience and The highlight of our trip. Our guide Yuenen was an amazing guide. His deep knowledge of history and archeology made it so interesting. We all felt his tour was exceptional. We will definitely recommend your company to all. I also would like to compliment our driver who was prompt and managed to the drive beautifully.
