From being picked up at our apartment to the return, we enjoyed every minute. Our guide, Jorge was knowledgeable, passionate and so accomodating, we arrived home exhausted but enriched by our journey back through time with Jorges fabulous story telling. He's an accomplished anthropologist so this is right up his street and it showed. Highly recommend if you want to learn about the pyramids, the people, culture of the time and debunk some myths.

I rarely write online reviews, but our experience with Estigo Tours was excellent. Right after booking, Gonzalo contacted me to give recommendations for food, activities, and shows beyond the tour. We wound up doing several of his suggestions. We actually booked two (different) tours on consecutive days, and our guide each time was Gerardo, who was super knowledgeable and considerate, and the tours were so thorough. Visiting Teotihuacán and adding the optional stop at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe were amazing experiences. Two anecdotes to share: 1) when we pulled up to the entrance to Teotihuacan, we had to wait for the gate to be opened. Nearby, a tourist boy with his family was vomiting. Gerardo immediately grabbed a package of tissues from his bag, got out, and gave it to the family, and got back in the car. I was struck by his immediate response to be kind and generous. 2) there was a planned demonstration to block the highways on the day of our trip, and the company reached out to adjust our timing in hopes of avoiding it. During the day, Gerardo and the team worked together to find alternate routes so we could still enjoy the experience. Their quick thinking saved the day for us, and I’m grateful. 10/10 recommend

we were in Mexico City for 8 days until last week. we spent a lot of time planning so as to be able to visit the various sectors of the city one each day instead of criss-crossing. we used Estigo Tours to provide a van with driver with a guide every other day. on the off days we explored on our own. i had my power wheelchair along which was great in all the museums, etc. our guide Mariana greatly enriched our trip. the back and forth planning of our trip was smooth as was every single detail and moment of our three days together. i unequivically recommend Estigo Tours for their professionalism, enthusiasm, knowledge, and very fair proicing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 days in early November of 2025 touring in Mexico City with Ernesto Deciga of Estigo Tours. He was our driver and expert guide. Gonzalo of Estigo Tours and Ernesto were both extremely proactive in helping us create a custom tour that emphasized the architectural, historical, archeological and artistic heritage of Mexico City. Ernesto expertly guided us through the very full itinerary. He was punctual, personable and articulate, with excellent English fluency. We felt safe, secure and in good hands at all times. The highlights were the House of Tiles, an exquisite handmade tile-covered Spanish colonial-era house with beautiful courtyard; the Cathedral and Zocalo Square; the Templo Mayor ruins and museum; the Carmen Museum with its huge collection of beautiful paintings and sculptures; Chapultepec Palace with amazing rooms of furnishings from the classic era; Frida Kalo and Diego Garcia’s houses and studios; and most of all the trip to Teotihuacan to see the pyramid-like temples of the sun and moon, and the 2-mile long Avenue of the Dead, lined with smaller stone platforms. The Anthropology Museum in Mexico City topped off our tour, with the incredible carvings and wall paintings made by indigenous people of the Mayans, Aztecs, and many other tribes of Mexico from ancient to classic times. We were astounded by the replica of a huge burial crypt found in an ancient temple, carved out of rock, where a king was buried with a collar similar to King Tutankhamen’s! It was made of hundreds of pieces of jade, and the death mask of precious jade as well. Ernesto is an expert on all the archeological details, explaining the features of carvings such as the fascinating earth mother, looking up while she held her hands skyward to support the earth, her wavy hair and snake motifs carved into the rock. Ernesto has extensive experience as a practicing archeologist, so knew every detail of the Templo Mayor, Teotihuacan, and the Anthropology Museum. He also was very well-versed in Mexican history, politics and culture, and gave us a crash course on all of Mexico's rulers, the Pre-Colonial and Colonial Eras, the War of Independence, and the Revolution, as we toured the important places in Mexico City. We highly recommend him, and he definitely made our trip one to remember always!

Our experience was truly indescribable. Baltazar, our guide, was absolutely exceptional professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. His English is excellent, and he adapted perfectly to our pace throughout the tour. Visiting one of the world’s greatest archaeological wonders with someone who brings the history to life made the experience even more meaningful and memorable. It was truly wonderful. We will definitely return to Mexico, and without a doubt, we’ll be taking our next tours with Estigo again. Highly recommended especially Baltazar!

I had a wonderful experience with Eatigo Tour in Mexico. From the day I booked until the tour ended, the team stayed in touch and provided excellent support throughout. They were always quick to respond, suggesting great restaurants, helping me plan my days in each city, and patiently answering all my questions. After every tour, they followed up to ask for feedback, and I could actually see improvements based on my suggestions in the next one, which was really impressive. The guides were professional, knowledgeable, and certified, and they handled unexpected situations. like traffic jams and road closures due to protests with quick thinking and calm professionalism. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, well-organized, and genuinely caring tour company in Mexico!

We had the true pleasure of having Mariana as our guide from Estigo for four straight days in and around Mexico City as it was the first time to the city for me and my wife. Mariana was engaging, knowledgeable and spoke very good English. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot about the city including the insane amount of people and traffic! We always felt safe and Mariana was a great driver in an environment that at times was extremely intense. Mariana even took us to San Miguel where my wife enjoyed four days in this beautiful city. Thank you so much!

From the moment we spoke with Gonzalo we were extremely comfortable using Estigo Tours! He was accommodating, warm and very flexible in helping us to plan our tour of the Pyramids of Teotihuacan and Basilica of Guadalupe. Our tour guide, Steph, and driver were terrific.....informative, friendly and genuinely concerned with providing the best experience possible. We were so happy with Estigo Tours that we booked them for a second day of touring in Mexico City, which not only included the Coyoacan, Frido Kahlo Museum and the canal boats in Xochimilco, but also included off the beaten path sites that Steph felt we would enjoy. Would highly recommend this tour company. I only wish they operated in many other countries!!
